Wyoming just killed a bill that would have repealed the state’s death penalty because Jesus Christ would not have been able to die for our sins without being executed. Really. 👇.
Hutchins wasn’t the only Senator with *interesting reasons for opposing death penalty repeal. Anthony Bouchard, for example, argued ending the death penalty in Wyoming would be a slippery slope to other reforms like offering gender reassignment surgery.

Most of the rest of opposition went w/ “conviction” instead of rational thought, facts, reason. The State of Wyoming just sometimes has to murder people. An “eye for an eye” - as they first said in the Code of Hammurabi, a Babylonian Code of law predating the Torah. 1754 BCE.
