Out of the “50 greatest female roles” as voted on by 1800 Hollywood insiders for @THR in celebration of #InternationalWomensDay, a total of three were nonwhite—Olivia Pope, Annalise Keating & Mulan—and none were “international” unless you mean UK/Australia
Mostly the poll shows how white, recent, commercial and weirdly provincial Hollywood’s idea of the cinematic canon is.

Hermione Granger being at the top of the list of greatest roles for women is just...painful.
I mean this list is like a relief map of Hollywood’s diversity and inclusion problem. It makes you despair.
