We talked about Josh Marks, the other finalist in Season 3 of #Masterchef, who was diagnosed (too late) with bipolar disorder and schizophrenia, and took his own life. Disability has many faces, and to @theblindcook's point, we are ALL "temporarily able."

There are reasons to not support Beto O’Rourke. This is not one of them. O’Rourke took no money from oil PACs or any other PACs; he got donations from oilco EMPLOYEES—in small dollar amounts—because he ran for US Senate in Texas, the state with 40% of all US oil & gas jobs.
The Grist article calls out 29 donations from oil & gas execs. The average size of donations to O’Rourke from oilco employees was $166. The donation cap is $2500+$2500.

O’Rourke raised $75 MILLION for his Senate campaign against Ted Cruz.
To put this into perspective: Running in a state that is synonymous with oil, just 0.35% of all donations to O’Rourke came from employees of the oil industry.

This is not buying what buying influence looks like.

It is amazing how this NYT article on skater Gracie Gold’s depression and body dysphoria manages to erase @MiraiNagasu and the controversial decision that sent Gracie to the Olympics to begin with—because there’s reason to suggest they’re linked.

Like many figure skating articles before it, the NYT article celebrates one of the most problematic archetypes in skating and in women’s sport at large: The racist, sexist cult of the “golden girl”—blond, white, sylphlike, dazzlingly bright at all times.
The Golden Girl archetype hurts nonwhite women by making them seem like aberrations from the golden “norm”—damaging prospects for selection, reducing subjective scores, cutting marketing and media support.

In skating, the archetype began with Sonja Henie.

Taking money in this movement can hurt a person's credibility because people will start to view them as a business. Reaching out can then be viewed as marketing. Shares, likes, hits and views are then looked at as gains.

A person making money off the movement does not turn them into a bad person. Disinformation does. If they are spreading the truth, thats all that matters. There are a lot of Patriots that want to support the work of Patriots they look up too

The first issue for me have been: I did not know my camera well and what it can do.
Almost any camera can do at least a nice astro landscape.
With the right settings, you could even capture the milky way with a high-end smartphone.

In November 2017 I had an idea to produce a masterclass series that would be watched for free by all and paid for by brands that care about educating and enriching people’s lives. I didn’t know any brand that wanted to come on, I wasn’t even looking.
I just knew that if I concentrated on doing a world standard job, the work would speak for itself.

Listen, that was a bit Naive.

January 2018, I went on a limb and bought equipment for shoot: Cameras, lights, etc. I was ready but only two instructors had agreed to do it.

#DMC forces had been forced out of the area in #Susah blocking #Marashidah wikimapia.org/#lang=en&lat=3… and were holding positions in the Palestine neighborhood

DMC retreated to areas with #YPG in this neighborhood. At this time inghimasi units appeared from tunnels behind and within the YPG positions. Because apparently no one had fully cleared the area. This caused a serious issue and caused YPG to retreat.

First, my stream art. My art usually starts somehow based on a @streamlabs theme, even if only for inspiration or to make my custom CSS/JS a lot easier to wrangle. The text is usually done w/ custom browser sources. For more info on Streamlabs OBS visit streamlabs.com/slobs/d/103698…
For custom fonts, I override whatever font selection is made via custom CSS. I embed my fonts as base 64 in the CSS thanks to @FontSquirrel's webfont generator. Base 64 seems to perform the best for locally-hosted HTML files with inline CSS even. Probably because no caching.
