for anyone wondering how out of control the opiate thing is, just had a 30 min procedure where they put a camera down my throat (im fine no worries). the nurse gave a percoset prescription. told her i wasnt in any pain. she said just in case. i said no and they [made] me take it.
im literally in no pain whatsoever. percoset is highly addictive, used recreationally, contains oxycodone, and risk of overdose is relatively high. i asked them not to give it to me and they still had me to take it. total insanity.
just to be clear they made me take the prescription, obviously they cant force you to take drugs, which is kind of worse because now i have this paper that i could use to get relatively hardcore opiates whenever i want. bonus: pills and opiate abuse is a huge problem where i live
