Why the “ACLU says” qualifier?

They have no legal authority. They’re holding people at gun point. How is this NOT kidnapping by vigilantes?

How, except that the kidnappers are white, and the vigilantes are not, so we have to train our eyes to see it?

I'm not even going after the reporter here, but look: There was a time when the KKK holding black people at gunpoint was normal.

If they don't impeach, then firing the FBI director to stop an investigation into your activities is something presidents can do.
If they don't impeach, then firing your AG so you can install one who will coordinate with you about an investigation into your activities is something presidents can do.
If they don't impeach, then presidents can say an illegal meeting that took place didn't take place.
And then that that it took place but it wasn't about that, it was about something else.
And then that no it was about that, but anybody would take that meeting.

We had JUST had that election in November. We voted to impeach.

Those we elected to do it had better do it.
What is this new nonsense where anything necessary has to be deferred until the next election to see what the voters want? Meanwhile it’s always the perfect time for civic vandalism and rising fascism.
What if just once “it’s the right thing to do right now and we can actually do it right now” was enough, what then.

Shout out to all the centrists pointing their skepticism leftward as the far right, emboldened by the white nationalist party in power, builds a white supremacist terror network with tacit government approval.

Shout out to the "Both Sides" bros in the age of concentration camps.
The vigilantes need to be arrested, tried, and sentenced for kidnapping.

If they learn they can get away with kidnapping, they'll next see if they can get away with murder.

Society MUST stand against armed robbers and kidnappers. Any police squad in illegal duty must never be obeyed. Any police officer that demands for your phone has already shown he is acting outside the law. The society MUST Response and resist. You are not breaking any law.
Police the world over are meant to protect lives and properties. Ours have chosen to take lives, abduct citizens arbitrarily and rob them at gun point. This is armed robbery/kidnapping and society must do the needful or keep losing our youth. This is the only language that works!
It is not he police that keep armed robbers away. It is society that stands against it enough to call the attention of the authorities for justice to be served. Right now the closest authority are now armed robbers killing our youth. Society must resist and defend the youth.

A major difference bt conservatives & the rest of us is that conservatives, for some reason, prioritize hypothetical violence above actual violence.

E.g. A woman MIGHT be assaulted in a bathroom > forcing #trans ppl to use the wrong bathroom actually IS dangerous for trans ppl
Militarized police are justified and necessary, because cops MIGHT get hurt during an occasionally dangerous job they agreed & are paid to do > people of color actually, currently being killed by cops
A not-yet-baby MIGHT experience SOME primal form of pain for a moment > Rates of death during childbirth are higher when women don't have access to legal abortion
