Seeing all these little girls with their Spider-Gwen swag on #FreeComicBookDay is so incredible that I don't even have proper words for it.
I have been working very hard to make sure GHOST-SPIDER is accessible and fun for everyone. It's an all-ages superhero comic. Yes, there's going to be violence. It's a cape comic. But the dialog is carefully written to be inclusive, the characters are for everyone, it's FUN.
And when seven-year-olds are both allowed to read the comic and then start going "I want to write this too!" and drawing their own Gwen Stacy adventures, I feel like I have finally earned @flycojoe's approval.
Kids are capable of reading and understanding so much more than people give them credit for. Signed, someone who started with X-Men and the New Mutants when I was eight.
