Space Hoodies:

The G5C spacesuit from Gemini 7 replaced the helmet neck ring with a zippered hood.
Astronauts wore crash helmets beneath the G5C for protection. The suit also featured additional zippers at the waist and groin to allow astronauts to fully remove their suits in flight, a first for NASA and important stepping stone for the shirt-sleeve environment of Apollo.
In practice, the G5C proved difficult for astronaut Jim Lovell to remove in flight...due partly to his stature (5' 11").
