Are #numerology and #astrology EVIL?

We live in a virtual reality that modern, popular culture has named “The Matrix.”

If you believe the Matrix is entirely evil, then any of its components and systems are evil.

Earth, Wind, Air, and Fire are evil.

Colors are
evil.

Mathematics, including geometry, is evil.

Sounds are evil.

Bodies are evil.

Cells and atoms are evil.

Souls are evil.

And so to must #numerology and #astrology be evil under such a scenario, meaning under the assumption that the virtual reality itself is evil.
Ok so everything is evil. End of story, right?

Wrong.

We are in a virtual reality, but there is not enough evidence to suggest that this virtual reality and everything in it is entirely evil.

There is a great deal of good that exists here as well.

Ash (@astro_ashley11) asked about a time when all planets were in their exile/detriment.

The results have throttled my mind.

Of the 2 such events on record, the 1st was in 33 AD, a year which coincides closely--as per the most popular narratives--to the crucifixion of Jesus.
The Thema Mundi is the chart for the "Birth of the World," but when the 7 traditional planets all go to signs opposite their positions in the Thema Mundi, you have the death of the "Savior of the World."

I'm shook.

#astrology
The only other occurrence of the 7 traditional planets all being in their signs of exile/detriment will happen in 3889 AD.

Venus entered Aquarius today! I've got some thoughts on #venusinaquarius that I'm thinking with. I'm not sure this'll be a megathread (I've been sick so I'm kind of tapped out) but I'm going to start writing and see where it goes. #astrology #thread #venus #aquarius
By the way, skip a few tweets down if you want to get to the point.
I want to start with my wordplay joke from yesterday. If you recall, I said Venus in Aquarius was a s c e t i c, which is a vaporwave joke as much as it is a wordplay joke.

The #solareclipse in #Capricorn tonight happens to coincide with #twelfthnight, the eve of #epiphany—and indeed it'll already be Epiphany for many in the eastern hemisphere by the time the eclipse perfects. I have some Thoughts™, so buckle in! #astrology
It's enough to reflect on the fact that the Epiphany story, as it's told in the Xian tradition, involves astrologers being given the gift of seeing things as they really are.
In the story, God is revealed to them, not in the halls of power and privilege but rather among the destitute and the working poor in a town that we would describe today as "flyover country."

I saw someone make mention of Midheaven degrees being "deactivated" by not having a planet in the 10th house, suggesting that someone won't have a career, and honey, that's not how astrology works. BUCKLE IN.
Each house has a planetary ruler determined by the sign within which the corresponding cusp, or point of power related to that house, falls. The condition, position, motion, and relationships of that planet tell the story of a person's life in relationship to that house.
Find the house cusp, find its ruler, determine its condition, make a judgment. Houses can be more or less active by activation through timing techniques or through considerations of cadency, but nobody has a single house that just doesn't do anything.

Okay, here's a quick follow-up thread on chirality in aspects (dexter and sinister, or, left- and right-handedness). For the sake of example, we'll be using the planets Venus and Mars in the context of a relationship chart. #astrology #theory #horary
Remember a couple of things:
- One, the planet that is moving faster is the one initiating connection.
- Two, what determines whether something is dexter or sinister is the observer's position. Dexter aspects go backwards in zodiacal order. Sinister go forward.
I was helped out on this by @RyhanButler who deserves a shoutout; the difference between dexter and sinister aspects is a difference in perceptibility. Dexter aspects tend towards being visible or public, sinister aspects tend towards being hidden or private.

Okay, let's jump in with part 2 of my #aspects in #astrology mega thread. Yesterday I spoke about aspects being visual relationships between planets, and that visual connection is what makes them "work," conceptually. We don't actually know what the mechanism is.
The mechanism by which astrology works is NOT SOMETHING I AM TALKING ABOUT TODAY PLEASE & THANK, I'm much more interested in digging into the ways in which the glances that the planets ping back and forth to one another in the heavens manifest.
Remember from everything I said last night: each planet casts seven glances, or aspects. A planet can observe anything where one of its glances falls in the Zodiac, as well as the sign it is in at the time. So each planet can behold eight spots.

Okay! Y'all voted, I listened, and now, I present to you the thread on aspects (what we call "aspect doctrine") that y'all asked for. Buckle in because this one's going to be a ride! #astrology #aspects
But in order to give aspects their due, we have to take a detour into classical optical theory, because the word "aspect" literally means "look at" (Latin ad, "at, to" + spectō, "I look").
So we start off with the idea that, in the astrological ball of wax, planets interact with each other by casting glances at one another. These glances in the ancient world were conceived of as an exchange of energy, and, to summarize succinctly, it was imagined...

SO, since I'm trying to break into astrology twitter (and I've had bourbon), let me tell you what I'm working on. I've been working on an app that will match people according to compatibility, astrological timing, "fate", and more. BUT, it's gotten especially interesting...
...because I've realized that timing is not just incredibly important for relationships--it's also much more codifiable than natal/synastry charts. Programmatically speaking, it's really easy to look at progressions/transits/solar arcs and extract the themes from a set of charts.
So I'm working on seeing if I can build a forecasting system that can tell you things _specifically_ like, prepare for successful endeavors at this time, be careful of car accidents here, your partner is probably pissy today. Using both Hellenistic and modern methods.

NOW. For the fourth thread in my #essentialdignities series, let's talk about what happens when a planet is both debilitated and dignified on different tiers at the same time. Let's take, for example, Venus at 23º Scorpio in a day chart. #astrology
(As an FYI, I'm using Dorothean triplicities.) In this instance, Venus is both in the sign of her detriment, as Scorpio is the opposite sign to Taurus, one of the signs that Venus rules. Yet, at 23º in a day chart, Venus has dignity both by triplicity and by face (decan).
So in this instance, Venus is functioning as the UN advisor for the watery triplicity, and is in her own little Venus-flavored corner of Scorpio where she can do something really interesting. Her weird Venus superpower gets activated by being under duress.

OH YES I was going to talk about peregrine planets as my third little spiel on dignities and debilities! Basically, a peregrine planet is a "stranger in a strange land:" it is in a zodiacal position where it has absolutely no dignity. #astrology #essentialdignities #peregrine
A planet that is peregrine is like a vagabond, depending on the hospitality of the planet who rules the sign through which it sojourns. Peregrine planets tend towards opportunism and overstaying their welcome, looking for ways to get what they need and move on.
The word "peregrinus" in Latin means "stranger," "vagabond," or "pilgrim" depending on the context. And a planet can manifest as any of the three when he or she is peregrine. Benefic planets are more like to tend towards "pilgrim," while malefics tend toward "vagabond."

OKAY SO. On to debilities! *Why* certain planets are debilitated in certain signs is a different thread, there's an easy way to remember which signs given planets are debilitated in (which has to do with why certain planets rule certain signs) #essentialdignities #astrology
There are two forms of debility: detriment and fall. When a planet is in one of its debilities, it is in a place where its natural tendencies cannot express themselves normally. A planet in debility is literally "out of its element," but there are two different flavors of this.
Imagine, say, someone like Kim Davis in a place like San Francisco. That's the kind of diametric opposition of natures we're talking about here. What flies in Trumplandia isn't going to go over well in the Castro (and vice versa).

Alright, I promised I was going to do a thread on essential dignities that was KIND and GENTLE and not me raging about misinformation. If you want to know what the heck dignities are and how they work beyond just "Mars in Aries = good!" So buckle up! #astrology #essentialdignity
To understand what we mean when we say "dignity," we need to look first at what the term meant in the Greco-Roman world. A "dignity" was something intrinsic to public offices: it carried a particular honor and a particular responsibility.
Let's consider the lowest level of political "dignity" in the Roman political world: the quaestor. If you got elected for a quaestorship, you had certain honors and responsibilities
