Socially intelligent people treat all people with respect.

That's something I've always noticed.

The service, janitors, CEO, undergrad kid, don't matter.

They just see people.

Respect leads to adoration.

Primal currency outweigh gimmicks.

Remember that.
Gimmicks alone won't cut it.

You can use the person's name all you want.

Flatter them.

Touch them on the shoulder when you speak etc.

But if you lack respect, your efforts are futile.....
But there is a catch!

Socially intelligent people are VERY strategic with their respect.

They realize that it is a primal currency.

Therefore, it must be spent with due diligence.
'What do you mean due diligence? I thought I was supposed to be respectful to everyone.'

Incorrect.

'Wait what?? Isn't that contrary to the initial tweet??'

Not at all.
You enter each interaction with respect.

Don't see class, money, profession etc.

But once the interaction begins, that when you evaluate whether they KEEP your respect.
If I'm talking to a person who ends up backstabbing me, you think i'm still respecting them?

Fuck no.
Don't listen to people who say you have to respect everyone.

They empathize without a strategy.

But when you give respect to a disrespectful person, you just reinforce & reward bad behavior.
'Gotcha. So I will be disrespectful back!'

No.

That means they got you to react.

When they get you to react, then they control you.

That's EQ 101.
'So what do I do then??'

You cut em off & find a respectful person to exchange your respect with.

That's how the game was meant to be played.
Think about it for a sec.

If you go to a barber with awful service, are you going to go back?

'Nah.'

Are you going to seek revenge on them by giving them a shitty haircut too?

'Nah.'

Then what will you do?

'I will find a new barber.'

Exactly.
Here's the beauty.

When you give respect to the right people, then you touch their heart.

They don't take your primal currency for granted.

Rather, it makes them feel valued.
Making others feel valued is how you build a legacy.

Humans are the main characters in their world.

So if you can tame your ego & make them FEEL that, then they have no choice to be subconsciously glued to you.
That's how the social game is meant to be played.

Rather than entering interactions trying to gain respect.

Try entering every interaction aiming to give respect.

To the right people, that is.
That's how you become charismatic.

That's how you build a tribe of supporters.

That's how you build the 'word of mouth' ARMY.

Do this for the rest of your life.

When there is nothing to do, the body defaults to feeling tired.

When challenges are presented, the body defaults to feeling energized.

It may be because you're not doing enough.
