If the mind doesn't have problems to solve, it creates problems to dwell on
When you run away from problems, problems find you.

And not the good kind.

'There are good kinds of problems?'

Absolutely...
Life is dualistic

Heads/tails
Coward/brave
Pain/joy
Likewise, same concept exists with problems...

to understand whether a problem is good or bad, we have to understand how we feel AFTER the problem has been tackled
A bad problem will have us feeling drained and tired

While a good problem makes us feel more competent and comfortable in our own skin
May not want to hear this, but the mind is wired to be negative

Due to the negativity bias of the brain + imagination, anxiety is created
Negativity bias is atrocious when you have no problems to solve. Because it gets you anxious

Negativity bias is a weapon when you are actively problem solving things in your life
Imagine an alcoholic who wants to overcome his addiction

He can use the negativity bias of fault-finding to trace what is going on with his day that leads to him drinking excessively
He notices the days when he doesn't plan his meals ahead of time, he has the tendency to eat out

When he eats out, he wants to celebrate with a few shots before hand

This leads to the recurring issue
In this scenario, by looking for the negatives, the alcoholic was able to reach the root cause

Fix the diet, have meals planned, be more systematic and alcohol may not be needed
Imagination was not killed

Nor was negativity bias

however, both variables were redirected to solve a practical problem
be in problem solving mode

an idle mind turns small situations into big ones

idle hands produce darkness

too much comfort creates a wimp
when you hear people whining, they tell you their problems

learn to solve it

Then solve the setback in your life

Focus for strength training.

Reframing thoughts for reps.
Let's break each of them down

Brainwashing happens GRADUALLY.

At first, you don't make much of it.

But overtime?

You have altered beliefs.

Be very alert.

All content is not good content. A lot are sinister.
Good content makes good people great

Bad content makes good people resent the great

When there is nothing to do, the body defaults to feeling tired.

When challenges are presented, the body defaults to feeling energized.

If you always feel tired, it's not always because you're doing too much.

It may be because you're not doing enough.
A mind with nothing to do dwells

A body with nothing to do feels sleepy...

In school, memorization is rewarded.

In the real world, understanding is.
Understanding leads to memorization of the right things

Memorization does not always lead to an understanding of the right things.
Let's talk a bit about the difference between school education and real world education

Just because the 2 phrases have 'education' does not mean they are being used the same way

Mentality HACK:

View boring tasks as 'focus sharpeners'

-doing the dishes
-folding laundry
-cleaning your room

Exercising your focus in one area of your life spills over to other parts

While everyone is doing these tasks with negativity, you're doing it to level up your mind
With the right lens, anything becomes an opportunity to build focus

The ability to stay in the present
Boring tasks are a great candidate because of the pattern

'Pattern with what?'

Pattern with the gym...
