If you are going to invest in self education, then do yourself a favor.

Learn how to learn.

You were never taught this in school.

Read up on:
-Stages of learning
-Slow practice
-Myelination
-Neural pathways
'Gee whiz! I always thought I knew how to learn.'

Nah, you knew how to memorize chapters of a book.

You were misinformed, my friend.

Time to teach you how to learn by mastering the fundamentals.
I'm going to walk you thru what I listed above.

But also going to give you a few bonus tips at the end.

Bookmark.
Stages of Learning:

1. Unconscious Incompetence - You don't know shit. And you have no clue you don't know shit.

2. Conscious Incompetence- You still don't know shit. But now at least you are aware of it.
3. Conscious Competence- Now you know how to do the act. But you think too much!

4. Unconscious Competence- The neural pathways have been solidified. You can do the act on autopilot.
Most people quit too soon, because they have no clue which stage of learning they fall in.

Would you be able to drive if you gave up on the first week?

Nah...
-Wrong: Practice makes perfect.

-Wrong: Perfect practice makes perfect.

-Right: Perfect practice makes progress.

You'll never fully learn something.

The more you learn, the more you learn there is more to learn.

Good way to hack growth.
'But.. but.. how do I practice?'

You do slow practice.

-Slow & right > Fast & wrong

Remember that
How did you learn how to drive?

'In a local park, very slowly.'

Why not the highway?

'Because I wasn't ready?'

Why not?

'Because I was in the early stages of learning.'

Exactly.
Slow practice allows you to form efficient neural pathways (more on this shortly).

The circuits become strengthened.

Eventually, it becomes second nature.

Speed will follow.
Now you may be curious what the fuck myelination is.

No need to overcomplicate it.

When you are first learning something, your brain is sending signals from axons to communicate.

This is when the act is very difficult.
But keep repeating it.

The gray matter of the axons will be surrounded by white matter.

That's what we are going for.

Aka neural pathways.
And at last!

Neural pathways...

Picture cables in your brain that allow you to do an act on autopilot.

Driving, brushing your teeth, typing.
Picture a human walking in a forest.

They walk thru the grass once, what happens.

'Nothing much.'

But what if its MULTIPLE times?

'Then a path begins to form.'

Exactly.

Repetition leads to new paths.
This is EXACTLY why you don't stop doing a bad habit.

You replace bad habits.

You need to weaken the old neural pathways & build new neural pathways champ.

That's how the game was meant to be played.
You can learn anything you've ever wanted.

Don't let some IQ test tell you otherwise.

Your intellect is not finite, it's infinite.

Learn fundamentals, practice, repeat, become it.

The world is yours.
Last 2 tips:

Have fun - Most enter learning with a sourpuss attitude, so they quit like a tityboy.

Visualize yourself being a master- This aids in neural pathways formation.

No lie.
Now you know how to learn like an OG.

Go become a master at something.

And don't stop until you do.

POWER.

It may be because you're not doing enough.
