Here's a theory I've been developing relevant to why House Democrats are reticent to air details of the investigation into #TrumpRussia.

🔹 Israeli interests allegedly conspired with the Trump campaign to undermine the U.S. government in 2016.
Israeli interests allegedly conspired with the Trump campaign to undermine the U.S. government in 2016.

🗨️ "The Trump transition team reached out to the Russian government in order to undermine the U.S. government because the Israeli government asked them to."
Israel has a history of interference with the U.S.government, and the government is reportedly sensitive about said shenanigans being exposed:

Israel's interference in 2016 hasn't been contested. Israeli-American billionaire Haim Saban "said he 'personally wanted to thank' Kushner for 'taking steps to try & get the [U.N.] Security Council to not go along with what ended up being an abstention by the U.S.'"
Billionaire Haim Saban (photo last tweet) is a Democratic donor, who has stated that Israel is his number one issue.

Billionaire Haim Saban is generous with his advice as well as his money. Here's his opinion on what @SenSanders
fate should be: "Single arrow to the heart and brain..."

2016:

Here's a warning by @pareene before the 2028 elections: "Haim Saban is Bad for Democracy."

Billionaire Haim Saban continues to donate millions to the @DCCC and Democratic candidates:

Speaker Pelosi has given generously in return, undermining our duly elected representatives - and constituents - in allegiance to the interests of a foreign power.

"Remove all doubt in your mind. It’s just a question of not paying attention to a few people who may want to go their own way...

Pelosi "assured Haim Saban, a megadonor to the Democratic Party, who had asked about the new House and the progressive Democratic base, that the Capitol could crumble to the ground and still the Democrats would be for Israel."

mondoweiss.net/2019/01/acknow…
"I have said to people when they ask me, If this Capitol crumbled to the ground, the one thing that would remain would be our commitment to our aid, I don’t even call it our aid, our cooperation with Israel. That’s fundamental to who we are."
Our Capitol. The United States of America. Even if the Capitol crumbles.

Assuring allegiance to a foreign power above U.S. government interests is most assuredly NOT fundamental to whom we are, @SpeakerPelosi.

We have a term for those who disagree.
Haim Saban has traditionally donated to Democrats, but MSM Republicans started courting Democrats' pro-Israel donors at a Vegas event in April, 2019.
Democrats apparently were keenly aware. Here's @SpeakerPelosi pledging to put Israel's interests above those of the United States.

Billionaire Democratic donor Haim Saban made it clear what he expects from the Democratic party:

Nancy Pelosi has made it clear where she and the Democratic leadership stand:

"If Washington D.C. crumbled to the ground, the last thing that would remain is our support for Israel." Nancy Pelosi at AIPAC.

Listen:
What is the job description of a United States Congressional representative?

What is the oath sworn by each, including @SpeakerPelosi?

history.house.gov/Institution/Or…
"I, Pamela Taylor, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; ..."
"...that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion, and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God."
Do you think it's plausible that Nancy Pelosi & leadership have been suppressing an impeachment inquiry (just an 🔎investigation!) & public hearings because both Israel and the billionaire Democratic donor Haim Saban would react negatively?

Decide for yourself. Tell someone.
More background on billionaire Democratic donor Haim Saban:

Background on my discovery of the battle for pro-Israel donors between Democrats and Republicans:

Here's the GOP event courting the pro-Israel donors last April in Vegas. Planning for the event would have begun in March or earlier.

I've observed a number of people commenting on the upsurge in mentions of Israel, the undermining of #TheSquad, and the dangerous bullying of @Ilhan.

Here's @leahmcelrath commenting on Trump/Pelosi attempts to silence #TheSquad:

Here's one of @sarahkendzior's threads on the Democratic leadership's disastrous resistance to impeachment:

Here's a tracking of the Democratic response to the threats rising against @Ilhan. That it took Pelosi two days to speak publicly and step up security for @Ilhan when she typically responds within hours (The Chabad shooting, the Cummings threats) indicates low integrity.
Others have expressed diminished respect for @SpeakerPelosi as a result of the ongoing bullying of @Ilhan by House members and Pelosi herself.

This isn't ok. This is a gross character deficiency, especially for a leader.

James is a Stanford-educated scholar whose work I respect. His tweet here is in reference to a prior thread on this theory.

"Plausible that connected-linked donors don't want to have Israel dragged into public hearings abt attk on democracy."

Mueller confirmed last week that hostile foreign powers were attacking is "as we speak." That's war. We're in an a war declared by the Kremlin to the Russian people but neither acknowledged nor shored against by the Speaker.

The Capitol is crumbling.
Pearls are also made with children's tears.

"The data analytics firm that worked on the Donald Trump election campaign was offered material from Israeli hackers who had accessed the private emails of two politicians who are now heads of state, witnesses have told the Guardian."

"The Right wants to advance this notion that if you engage and critique an Israeli policy you are anti-Semitic, but it’s the furthest thing from the truth" -@AOC

haaretz.com/israel-news/oc…
When I first learned of this from a friend who was denied work because he refused to sign his Constitutional rights away, I thought surely it was a misunderstanding or a hoax.

That's the moment I went from automatically pro-Israel to paying attention:
My thread above follows megadonor influences on the Democratic leadership relevant to Pelosi's attempts to prevent impeachment.

Seth has followed Trump/Russia in fine detail, and our combined efforts have some overlap I'm still processing.

"Congressional members tweet little about Israel trip.

Democratic presidential candidates Bernie Sanders and Beto O’Rourke might call Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a “racist,” but a delegation of 41 US House Democrats stood and clapped for him..."
"The delegation, led by House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer and sponsored by an AIPAC-affiliated charity, met Netanyahu in the evening in the Foreign Ministry, after spending much of the morning in Ramallah and a meeting with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas."
"The meeting went on for some two hours, with most of it taken up by questions and answers. While the diplomatic process was a major focus, no questions... were asked about the settlements, Netanyahu’s relationship with US President Donald Trump, or the Nation-State Law."
"Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu speaks at a meeting with a delegation of 41 US House Democrats in Israel"

🔥That's over 15% of the House of Representatives. How many of the Democratic Leadership were there? How many attendees have been trying to stop or stall impeachment?
Were Pelosi and Nadler there?

Congressional members tweet little about Israel trip.

m.jpost.com/Israel-News/US…
So 41 House members made an official visit to a foreign country that was involved in - if not instigated - the attack on our 2016 elections, yet their identities are unavailable to the People?

Why?
Adding this here, FWIW. I still have a strong pro-Israel bias for which I have to correct, but whether I view through that lens or not it makes no sense to me that Israel could be safer if the U.S. is crippled. It's an illogical & unreasonable conclusion.
Benny Morris ties the success of the Israeli state to the survival of Trump as president. Are influential Americans doing this as well, particularly Zionists like Saban and Nadler? Is this a variation on the sort of religious extremism that's killing us?

haaretz.com/us-news/.premi…
"Horrifying predictions of the end of the state have been with it from the beginning...

But in reality, the opposite occurred. The Jews multiplied, dispossessed, expelled, killed and sometimes slaughtered.".-@levy_haaretz (see thread above)

haaretz.com/opinion/benny-…
"Although the delegation also will visit the Israeli-occupied Palestinian West Bank and meet with Palestinians, the Israel-centric nature of the trip is evident from Hoyer’s characterization of it."
🔥"However, in addition to being wary of the one-sided narrative presented to them on this delegation, Representatives also should be aware that they may be unwittingly participating in a delegation which violates the spirit, if not the letter, of the law on congressional travel.
"Dr. Craig Holman, Government Affairs lobbyist for Public Citizen, who drafted the 2007 (HLOGA), designed to curb the influence of lobbyist money in congressional travel, is unequivocal that the arrangement between AIEF & AIPAC 'defies the spirit as well as the letter of the law.
"These biased delegations to Israel prove to be formative in shaping the outlook and policy positions of many first-term Members of Congress, which is why AIPAC and its affiliated organization AIEF place so much importance on them."
"A spokesperson for Hoyer declined to provide Mondoweiss with a list of the other Representatives participating and a spokesperson for the House Committee on Ethics, which approves congressional travel, also declined to comment on the delegation."
"In June, Jewish Insider published the names of 20 Representatives, most of whom are in their first-term, participating in some or all of the delegation. In addition, first-term Rep. Antonio Delgado (D-NY) announced today his participation."
All three lawmakers [of #TheSquad: Reps. @Ilhan Omar (D-MN), @RepRashida (D-MI) and @AOC (D-NY)] have told JI that they are not traveling on the AIEF/AIPAC trip to Israel.

“I certainly am not,” Omar told JI in mid-May, referring to the trip.
.@RepRashida, "approached by JI in early May and asked whether she would go on the AIPAC trip, said 'No, I have my own trip,” and presented an invitation for a trip to the “Occupied Territories in Palestine.'"
"A spokesman for Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) told JI that the freshman congresswoman won’t be on the AIEF/AIPAC trip and didn’t respond to an inquiry about why."
"Nor will the congresswoman [@AOC] be going on the trip advertised by Tlaib, although her spokesman said she agrees with the initiative. “We are very supportive of the trip and we are interested in visiting the region in the future,” Ocasio-Cortez’s spokesman said in an email.
"Jewish Insider reached out to all 64 offices of freshman House Democrats, inquiring if they will attend the AIEF/AIPAC trip to Israel in August."
"At least 16 freshmen are scheduled to go, including Reps. Sharice Davids (D-KS) [@RepDavids]; Madeleine Dean (D-PA) [@RepDean]; Lizzie Fletcher (D-TX) [@RepFletcher]; Sylvia Garcia (D-TX).[@RepSylviaGarcia]; Steven Horsford (D-NV) [@RepHorsford];..."
"...Ben McAdams (D-UT) [@RepBenMcAdams; Lucy McBath (D-GA) [@RepLucyMcBath]; Joe Morelle (D-NY) [@RepJoeMorelle]; Chris Pappas (D-NH) [@RepChrisPappas]; Max Rose (D-NY) [@RepMaxRose]; Harley Rouda (D-CA) [@RepHarley]; Donna Shalala (D-FL) [@RepShalala];..."
"...Greg Stanton (D-AZ) [@RepGregStanton]; Haley Stevens (D-MI); David Trone (D-MD) [@RepDavidTrone] and Susan Wild (D-PA) [@RepSusanWild]."
"Rep. Jared Golden (D-ME) [@RepGolden] told JI he will attend some, but not all of the August trip."
"Mark McDevitt, a spokesman for Rep. Lori Trahan (D-MA) [@RepLoriTrahan] emailed JI after publication to confirm that the Massachusetts congresswoman will attend the AIEF/AIPAC Israel trip in August.*"
"The trip is led by House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD) [@LeaderHoyer] who will also be joined by Chair of the House Democratic Caucus, Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) [@RepJeffries]."
"In March at the AIPAC conference, Majority Leader Hoyer said he expected the August trip to be the largest delegation he’s ever led, with at least 30 members of the Democratic caucus, including ‘many’ freshmen."
My account has been shut down three times after these latest thread additions, requiring that I submit a code, solve a puzzle, and produce my phone number.

Why is my account under attack, @TwitterSafety? Is Twitter's code doing this, or is my account being attacked by others?
Since the trip, MSM reports (see above) that 41 House representatives were in the AIPAC delegation. Over 15% of the House. To a country involved in attacking ours.

A House that refuses to impeach.

jewishinsider.com/2019/06/aipacs…
You know what this reminds me of, assuming the theory is true? "They're gonna take our guns." A histrionic overreaction like those for which the far right is known.
The idea that holding Trump publicly accountable & thereby revealing Israel's role in manipulating our 2016 election would lead Israel's demise...
...sounds like an idea that those looking to weaken the United States would propagate, and considering that such an idea is coming from the religious right - this time Zionists, it's possible that the narrative originated with Putin's people.

One of the most common assumptions I see is that Democrats want to win the next election. The actions of some Democrats do not support that conclusion.

Consider:
1/
If you were an actor or politician and someone offered you tons of money to help big donors and/or the GOP, would you do it? Would you think about it?
2/ ImageImageImageImage
Could you even be persuaded to pledge your allegiance to a foreign government at the expense of the U.S. Capitol?

DO NOT CUT MEDICARE, @JoeBiden, end the filibuster and make #MedicareForAll happen if you truly want to be thought of as a modern-day FDR instead of a guy who took us further backward by cutting healthcare during a pandemic.
Joe Biden is no FDR. What an evil, scummy thing to do to the American people, especially during a pandemic. Massive cuts to Medicare because Democrats won't end the filibuster? Cuts to farm aid? With Democrats like these, who needs Republicans?

"The money is right there. It’s spent on bombs instead of homes. On cops instead of kids. On bailing out banks instead of families. Again the only argument against helping people is a lie." - @JoshuaPotash

Democrats have a majority, but Biden's cutting MEDICARE and FARM AID because of... Republicans? FUCK THAT! End the filibuster, you gormless <descending into incoherent and very unflattering mumbling> @SenateDems!
How dare they cut already sparse benefits from some of the most vulnerable people, especially during a pandemic! How dare they shrug away the mantle of a people's majority and pretend it's due to the Republicans' corruption instead of
their own greed and elitism. It's time to move forward and join other first world countries. It's time for #MedicareForAll.

The U.S. needs a children's vote on issues relevant to them.
1/
Why? Because they're humans too, and they possess the wisdom of innocence from which we could become a kinder, safer, wiser nation. Their voices should be heard, and right now they're not.
2/
A children's vote would also educate upcoming generations on the basics of good citizenship in a representative democracy. They would practice these basics such that once they become adults, they will understand and better perform their roles as citizens.

And vote.
