Action begins at Delhi's Rouse Avenue court where #PChidambaram is going to be produced by the #CBI following his arrest last night.

Wife Nalini Chidambaram and son #KartiChidambaram have reached court no.502, presided over by special judge Ajay K Kuhar.
Senior lawyers Kapil Sibal, AM Singhvi, Vivek Tankha are also in the court complex.

Solicitor General Tushar Mehta and senior lawyer Sonia Mathur are expected to appear as special public prosecutors for the #CBI.
#PChidambaram being taken to the court room where remand proceedings in the #INXMediaCase
will commence shortly.
#CBI demands 5 days of custodial remand of #PChidambaram in the #INXMediaCase.
SG Tushar Mehta presents the remand application, starts with talking about illicit transfer of money in the case, tells Court #PChidambaram was arrested following a NBW.
#CBI claims #PChidambaram isn't cooperating with the investigation.
SG Tushar Mehta offers chair for #PChidambaram to sit but #Chidambaram refuses to sit.
Mehta cites Delhi High Court order or rejecting anticipatory bail plea of #PChidambaram and says he didn't appear despite notices and messages.
#CBI adds it needs to confront #PChidambaram with co-accused and witnesses in the #INXMedia case. Mehta also adduced the case diary, citing alleged money trails.
Kapil Sibal argues for #PChidambaram, starts by pointing out #KartiChidambaram, who has been named in the FIR, has been given bail by the Delhi High Court. Why should #PChidambaram be under arrest, asks Sibal.
Sibal claims the probe is already over. None of the then secretaries in the FIPB has been arrested, he says.
Sibal also tells the judge that when #CBI officers were at his residence to arrest him, #PChidamabaram told them he hasn't slept the last night. "He asked them if they could arrest him tomorrow but the CBI declined," Sibal adds.
Sibal contends if there is a money trail, where is that money, how it was transferred, in whose bank account it was deposited.
Sibal: If a judge has taken seven months to deliver the judgement, what can we do? Is that the protected umbrella that PC got?
Abhishek Manu Singhvi now commences arguments against the #CBI plea for custodial interrogation.
#PChidambaram won't say what CBI wants him to say. He will say what is correct, says Singhvi.
"CBI's claim of #PChidambaram being evasive is completely false. It could have been alleged only if he would have been called 10 times and he appeared for 5 times," adds Singhvi.
#CBI rebuts arguments on behalf of #PChidambaram. Tushar Mehta emphasises everyone should be equal in eyes of the law. The man here is no different.
#PChidambaram wants to speak to the judge but Tushar Mehta objects, pointing out two lawyers have already spoken on his behalf.
Mehta adds #CBI is dealing with a man who is literate, knows the nuances of the law and has been completely evasive.
Tushar Mehta tells Court they since #PChidambaram wanted to rest for a while, #CBI started its questioning today in the morning. #CBI will fail as an investigating agency if we fail to get to the roots of this conspiracy, he adds.
Delhi court has reserved its order on the plea by the #CBI to give 5 days of custodial remand of #PChidambaram.
Order will come after half an hour.
#PChidambaram also made an intervention with the permission of the judge. The RS MP said when he was called by CBI in June 2018, he was only asked about foreign bank account. He didn't have one & he gave details of one bank account maintained by son #KartiChidambaram.
Judge arrives in the courtroom to deliver the order on custodial interrogation of #PChidambaram.
Four days' PC for PC.
Court allows custodial interrogation of #PChidambaram till Aug 26th. He will be produced in court on 28th. Family can see him 30 minutes every day.

Of 527 pages on acquittal of Tarun Tejpal, #Goa judge Kshama M Joshi has used around 400 pages, dissecting testimony of the complainant in arriving at how an 'educated journalist' should've known whether she 'pulled up' her underwear or 'picked up'.
Goa court scans the complainant's phone & messages to note that "it was entirely the norm" for her to have flirtatious relationships & sexual conversations with friends & acquaintances.
Since she refused to give access to her email citing concerns of privacy when her phone details had already been used to humiliate her over her personal details, #Goa judge holds that she "wants to hide something."
