It's good to be skeptical, including of experts. However, the first target of your own skepticism should always be yourself.

For example, "could my belief all the experts are wrong on No-Deal and Brexit stem from that being the most convenient outcome for my own politics?"
Check under any of my posts and there's comments to the tune of, "What if you're all wrong and it all works out?"

I really don't know how to answer that.

Of course it's a possibility, but giving expert advice is about saying what you think at the conviction level you think it.
What I think is pulling out of a long-standing regional trade agreement of unprecedented integration with your closest neighbors will harm an economy.

I think doing so abruptly, chaotically and without a transition period will be disruptive.

I think so pretty strongly 🤷‍♂️.
