Bodies of slain General #Solemani & comrades arrive in #Ahwaz, Iran. A mammoth funeral procession has kicked off. Images of hundreds of thousands mourners packing the streets, bridge & square, is colossal.
.3/ This is only in #Ahwaz, southwest of #Iran & the first leg of #Solaimani’s funeral procession. I can’t even begin to imagine what it would be like once they arrive to the capital #Tehran.
.4/ Even in his death #Soleimani’s popularity drew far more in numbers than @realDonaldTrump managed alive during his inauguration.
Close up, clearer scenes from #Soleimani’s funeral cortège in #Ahwaz (#Ahvaz) city.
.6/ In #MashHad meanwhile, a sea of humans poured into the streets to honour #Soleimani & his comrades funeral cortège. #Iran
.7/ In what is turning out to be the largest ever funeral in the history of #Iran, probably since that of #AyatollahKhomeini, #Soleimani’s funeral cortège, now on its second leg of the journey, will also head to #Tehran, then #Qom & finally 2 his resting place & hometown #Kerman.
.8/ SIGNIFICANT: #Iran pulls out of the nuclear deal, in effect ending its remaining commitments to the 2015 agreement, & in doing so delivering
the second blow to the #US today, following #Iraq ’s vote to ask #US forces to leave #Iraq.
.9/ Apparently not & these tweets further explain it...
Though it’s all but dead, #Iran has not pulled out of the nuclear deal.
🚨BREAKING:🚨 Donald Trump announces that Israel & Hamas have both signed off on the first phase of his peace plan.
He says all hostages will be released “very soon” & that Israel “will withdraw their troops to an agreed-upon line.”
Trump calls it “a great day for the Arab and Muslim world, Israel, & the United States.”
Once the hostages are released, Hamas will lose its last significant bargaining chip in negotiations. Meanwhile, Israel will retain complete military control over Gaza, led by a Prime Minister who has explicitly stated he has no intention of withdrawing forces from the region.
Netanyahu’s position is clear: “There will be no Hamas governance, no Palestinian Authority involvement, & Israel will remain responsible for Gaza’s security.” This stance effectively signals an indefinite occupation for the foreseeable future.
Even if the hostage exchange is successful, there are no assurances that Israel will refrain from resuming its military operations in Gaza. The proposed deal lacks any enforcement mechanism to ensure compliance. It includes no provisions for international oversight to maintain neutrality. There are also no specified penalties for violations, leaving the agreement vulnerable to collapse.
Without accountability, such a “deal” does not represent genuine peace, it is merely a temporary pause in hostilities.
🔴IMPORTANT🔴
1/🧵 Netanyahu’s latest statements all but torpedo Trump’s Gaza peace plan.
As reported by @AmichaiStein1, Netanyahu appears to have laid out new conditions that directly contradict key provisions of the Trump-brokered proposal (Oct 5, 2025) & gut its core: ceasefire, hostage release in 72 hours, IDF withdrawal, Palestinian-led governance, multinational force for demilitarization. He’s twisting it into occupation
Below is my breakdown of where they clash & why his stance could sink the deal before it even starts.
2/ Trump’s plan: all hostages (20 alive, 28 bodies) freed in 72 hours to start withdrawals. Netanyahu: “No progress until every hostage returns.” Many are unrecoverable after two years of war. Hamas agreed to release Oct 3, but Israel’s airstrikes resumed. Stalling tactic. #HostageDeal
3/ Deal wants Palestinian-led interim body, backed by Arab states ($50B pledged). Netanyahu: “No PA or Hamas in Gaza.” This kills Palestinian agency, defies Arab allies, & blocks the plan’s spirit. It’s annexation by denial. #PalestinianRights #GazaDeal
🚨Hamas has formally issued a written response to Trump’s ceasefire “proposal.”
It’s… surprisingly diplomatic, & dare I say, politically shrewd.
Because rather than rejecting it outright, Hamas flipped the table: they accepted the key humanitarian points: end of war, aid entry, prisoner exchange, rejection of displacement, but under conditions that expose Israel’s refusal to do the same.
Now Trump can’t claim they oppose peace, & Netanyahu looks like the obstacle.
That’s checkmate diplomacy.
The document explicitly:
• Welcomes Trump’s “efforts”
• Calls for an immediate ceasefire
• Approves prisoner exchange for both “living & remains”
• Rejects the occupation & Gaza’s displacement
• Backs a technocratic administration under Palestinian consensus
In other words: it places Hamas within a diplomatic framework, not outside it.
It’s a diplomatic gambit, a masterstroke that flips
By endorsing the humanitarian core & tying it to international law, Hamas forces the world to confront a simple question:
If they’re saying yes, who’s saying no?
🚨 BREAKING:🚨 According to @SkyNews, the White House plan would place Gaza under a transitional government headed by Donald Trump, with a role for Tony Blair.
Trump’s 20-point plan also calls for hostage releases, prisoner swaps, & “safe passage” for Hamas fighters who choose to leave Gaza.
2/ The plan says: if both sides agree, the war will immediately end.
Israel would freeze military operations & pull back to agreed lines to enable a staged withdrawal and hostage release.
3/ Within 72 hours of Israel accepting, all hostages, alive & deceased, must be returned.
In exchange, Israel will release:
▪️ 250 life-sentence prisoners
▪️ 1,700 Gazans detained since Oct 7, 2023 (including women & children)
🔴IMPORTANT🔴:
A century after Western powers carved up the Middle East with a ruler, Tony Blair now proposes to “govern” Gaza under an international authority.
The draft plan, published in full by @haaretzcom, puts foreign elites on top, Palestinians on the bottom.
Here’s what is being proposed & what it means 🧵
Tony Blair, yes, the Iraq War criminal Tony Blair, now wants to be the colonial master of Gaza. Only, his Blair Plan for a “Gaza International Transitional Authority” looks less like self-rule & more like a neocolonial protectorate.
The structure? Foreign elites at the top, Palestinians at the bottom with Gaza being run by:
•An International Board of 7–10 foreigners.
•Names floated: UN envoy Sigrid Kaag, Apollo CEO Marc Rowan, Egyptian billionaire Naguib Sawiris, Trump ally Aryeh Lightstone.
•And of course, Blair himself as Chairman.
Palestinians? Reduced to a “technocratic service authority” delivering schools, policing, garbage collection all subordinate to foreigners. No sovereignty, no real power.
Lest you forgot, we’ve seen this before. Iraq, 2003, Coalition Provisional Authority, with Paul Bremer as proconsul. Foreigners ran everything, locals were subcontractors. Same vibe here, only we saw how that ended. Blair helped architect that disaster & now proposes to repeat it in Gaza.
🚨 @washingtonpost scoop:🚨
Trump’s team is circulating a 38-page “GREAT Trust” plan for Gaza. It envisions a U.S.-run trusteeship for 10 years, turning the Strip into a “Riviera of the Middle East.” The catch? It begins with the “voluntary” relocation of 2M Palestinians. Genocide packaged as real estate.
2/ The Trump team’s “GREAT Trust” plan for Gaza envisions uprooting 2M+ Palestinians, either into sealed “secure zones” or “voluntary” relocation to Libya, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Somaliland, Indonesia & others. None of these countries have agreed, some are at war themselves. This isn’t policy, it’s a war crime dressed up as real estate.
3/ Those who agree to leave would be handed $5,000 + food/rent subsidies.
Land ownership replaced with “digital tokens” to maybe redeem for an apartment in one of six “AI smart cities” after 10 yrs under U.S. trusteeship.
A bribe for exile.
