Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz bragged:

1/ Israel has struck the Qasmiya Bridge over the Litani River in southern Lebanon, one of the last major crossings on the coastal highway.

This is not just another “military target.”

Cut it, & you isolate entire communities, restricting movement of civilians, ambulances, aid, & daily life.

After decades covering wars, I thought I’d seen everything.
What Israel did to Palestinian captives defies words, torture, rape, mutilation, organ theft.
This isn’t just a war crime. It’s a warning to humanity.
They weren’t “prisoners.”
Most were abducted civilians, rounded up from schools, shelters, hospitals, & vanished for months.

The freed return limping, burned, broken.
Others returned in numbered white body bags, bound, blindfolded, their organs removed, their abdomens stuffed with cotton.

These were Gaza’s hostages, only the world called & regarded them as statistics.
The double standard is obscene.

Israeli hostages were hailed as heroes. Western leaders celebrated their release.

But when 1,900 Palestinians were freed, most without charge, the world barely looked up.

It was the same war, on the same dates, but with different standards of humanity.

🚨BREAKING:🚨 Donald Trump announces that Israel & Hamas have both signed off on the first phase of his peace plan.

He says all hostages will be released “very soon” & that Israel “will withdraw their troops to an agreed-upon line.”

Once the hostages are released, Hamas will lose its last significant bargaining chip in negotiations. Meanwhile, Israel will retain complete military control over Gaza, led by a Prime Minister who has explicitly stated he has no intention of withdrawing forces from the region.
Netanyahu’s position is clear: “There will be no Hamas governance, no Palestinian Authority involvement, & Israel will remain responsible for Gaza’s security.” This stance effectively signals an indefinite occupation for the foreseeable future.
Even if the hostage exchange is successful, there are no assurances that Israel will refrain from resuming its military operations in Gaza. The proposed deal lacks any enforcement mechanism to ensure compliance. It includes no provisions for international oversight to maintain neutrality. There are also no specified penalties for violations, leaving the agreement vulnerable to collapse.

Without accountability, such a “deal” does not represent genuine peace, it is merely a temporary pause in hostilities.

As reported by @AmichaiStein1, Netanyahu appears to have laid out new conditions that directly contradict key provisions of the Trump-brokered proposal (Oct 5, 2025) & gut its core: ceasefire, hostage release in 72 hours, IDF withdrawal, Palestinian-led governance, multinational force for demilitarization. He’s twisting it into occupation

Below is my breakdown of where they clash & why his stance could sink the deal before it even starts.
2/ Trump’s plan: all hostages (20 alive, 28 bodies) freed in 72 hours to start withdrawals. Netanyahu: “No progress until every hostage returns.” Many are unrecoverable after two years of war. Hamas agreed to release Oct 3, but Israel’s airstrikes resumed. Stalling tactic. #HostageDeal
3/ Deal wants Palestinian-led interim body, backed by Arab states ($50B pledged). Netanyahu: “No PA or Hamas in Gaza.” This kills Palestinian agency, defies Arab allies, & blocks the plan’s spirit. It’s annexation by denial. #PalestinianRights #GazaDeal

🚨Hamas has formally issued a written response to Trump’s ceasefire “proposal.”
It’s… surprisingly diplomatic, & dare I say, politically shrewd.
Because rather than rejecting it outright, Hamas flipped the table: they accepted the key humanitarian points: end of war, aid entry, prisoner exchange, rejection of displacement, but under conditions that expose Israel’s refusal to do the same.
Now Trump can’t claim they oppose peace, & Netanyahu looks like the obstacle.

The document explicitly:
• Welcomes Trump’s “efforts”
• Calls for an immediate ceasefire
• Approves prisoner exchange for both “living & remains”
• Rejects the occupation & Gaza’s displacement
• Backs a technocratic administration under Palestinian consensus

In other words: it places Hamas within a diplomatic framework, not outside it.
It’s a diplomatic gambit, a masterstroke that flips
By endorsing the humanitarian core & tying it to international law, Hamas forces the world to confront a simple question:
If they’re saying yes, who’s saying no?
