🔴 Israel’s smear campaign against @AnasAlSharif0, before & after murdering him, is a textbook case of justifying a war crime.

Hours after Netanyahu announced the occupation of Gaza, Anas & 5 other journalists were killed.

Israel calls him a “Hamas militant.” But their own “evidence” blows that lie apart, & exposes a plan to kill journalists before the next phase of atrocities.

Let’s break it down. 🧵

1️⃣ Netanyahu announced the coming occupation of Gaza. Hours later, Anas al-Sharif & five other journalists were killed, targeted in a tent clearly known for press at Al-Shifa Hospital.
This is not coincidence. It’s part of a deliberate campaign to silence witnesses before the next phase of atrocities

2️⃣ Hamas was the elected government in Gaza, their officials were the politicians, & the Qassam Brigades their military.
Whether you deem them terrorists or not, is irrelevant to the fact that in Gaza they were the legitimate governing & security authority.
Meeting them was part of reporting reality
Journalists worldwide take photos with leaders they meet, from Netanyahu to Putin, without becoming their operatives. In Gaza, taking a selfie with a local leader is as normal as shaking hands.

Read the fine print, & you’ll see it’s not a peace plan, it’s a dismantling blueprint.

Clause 1
“Exclusive state control over war/peace decisions & weapons.”
Sounds normal, if the state could defend its people.
In Lebanon, this means dismantling Hezbollah while the army remains under-armed & foreign-restricted.
No clause forces Israel to stop daily violations before disarmament.

Clause 3
“Gradual end to all non-state armed presence, north & south of Litani.”
1701 only applied south of the Litani.
This quietly expands it nationwide, dismantling Hezbollah’s entire defense structure, not just its southern front.

🧵The Two-State Solution is Dead. What the world is offering Palestinians isn’t a state.

The concept of a two-state solution for Israel and Palestine is often presented as a path to peace, but it has become an empty promise, a diplomatic illusion that distracts from the reality of occupation and apartheid. This thread examines why the two-state solution was & is no longer viable, analyzing its historical promises, current realities, & inherent flaws.

1- All this talk of a two-state solution is delusion at best, distraction at worst.
Israel’s leadership has made it clear: it has no intention , ZERO, of allowing a sovereign Palestinian state, EVER.
Even Netanyahu has said it: “There is no post-war scenario that would lead to a Palestinian state.”
This collides with the idea of sovereignty.
This stance reveals a fundamental contradiction: a “state” without sovereignty is not a state, it’s a rebranded occupation.
Israel’s actions, settlement expansion, annexation policies, & daily violence, genocidal rhetoric, demonstrate that the system is designed to prevent Palestinian statehood, not enable it. It’s not a bug, it’s the system.
The rhetoric of a two-state solution persists as a diplomatic distraction, masking the reality of apartheid while offering Palestinians a hollow promise.
So what are you negotiating? A mirage? A hostage with a flag isn’t a state? Stop dressing up apartheid as diplomacy.

2- Let’s assume, just for argument’s sake, a Palestinian state was declared tomorrow, its functionality would be impossible under current conditions.
The proposed state would consist of two disconnected territories: Gaza in the southwest and the West Bank in the northeast, separated by a heavily militarized Israel. Israel controls all borders, airspace, and movement between these regions, rendering Palestinian autonomy dependent on Israeli permission.

2/ JDAMs - Joint Direct Attack Munitions - are kits that turn ordinary bombs into “precision-guided” weapons.
The deal includes:
💣 3,845 JDAM kits for 2,000-pound BLU-109 “bunker buster” bombs
💣 3,280 JDAM kits for 500-pound MK 82 bombs
Principal contractor: Boeing.

3/ These aren’t hypothetical weapons.
Fragments of JDAM-equipped bombs have already been found at Israeli airstrikes in Gaza ; strikes that killed dozens of civilians, including women & children.
In 2023, HRW documented at least 43 civilian deaths from such strikes.
