@Tesco 1. To anyone saying “beige plasters aren’t supposed to match Caucasian skin tones!” ding dong ur wrong that is explicitly what they were designed to do. ImageImageImageImage
@Tesco 2. “I’m white and they don’t match MY skin tone!” yeah me neither but they’re close enough - they’re designed to be an average sort of beige that doesn’t stand out too wildly on any white person’s skin.
@Tesco 3. “Why not use clear plasters!” uh have you ever tried using one of them on a finger joint? Or any other joint? They’re great at some things but don’t have the same utility as a traditional sticking plaster.
@Tesco 4. “WHAT so BLUE PLASTERS are supposed to match SMURFS” no they’re for kitchen staff. They’re that colour so it’ll be super obvious if one falls off and into the food. Humans eat quite a lot of beige food but we don’t eat much bright blue food, so it’s guaranteed to stand out.
@Tesco 5. “Well /I/ like dinosaur plasters!!!”

Uh okay good for you, nobody’s coming to stop you
@Tesco 6. “Why do plasters have to blend in anyway!”

Because sometimes you have a cut on your face & you want a dressing that’s more subtle? Or you’ve got a blister on your foot but you’re wearing open-toed shoes and you don’t want people staring at anything but your pedicure?
@Tesco Or sometimes you’ve got scarring or injuries you want to cover up without drawing attention to them? Because you don’t want people to be going “OOH what HAPPENED to your HAND” all day? Idk dude there’s as many reasons as you’d like, let your imagination run wild
@Tesco 7. “There are BIGGER things to worry about!!”

People can worry about two things, Linda

Sometimes even more
@Tesco Anyway I think that’s all the bullshit covered, and if plasters being available in different skin tones makes you angry, maybe stop for a minute, take a deep breath, and ask yourself how this impacts your life in any way, shape, or form
