After being in a Hosptial for last five days—where the staff is excellent re infection protocols but a sea of humanity enters every day—I’m just going to say that we are not at all prepared.

Do you ride transit or go to malls or fly? Have you seen workers sanitizing, as you may have seen pics of in other countries—and not just authoritarian countries—things that we all touch like buttons and rails and doors? No.

Go ask a random person, not a news junkie on here but just like any random person, what they know about COVID-19 or infection protocol.

You will not be reassured.

The government should be mobilizing “influencers” and like, not just the social media ones, but faith and community leaders and teachers and the like, to tell people how to minimize infection. what evidence have you seen of that?

So, @MTA and @SFBART Are taking precautions. Yay! Great! But every 72 hrs is insufficient to the scale of what might be coming.

And the key problem is we have an administration that 50% of country doesn’t trust to inform and educate, and rest are foolish to.

Even in this @ummc Hosptial: the signage re flu is great. The signage re COVID-19 is all about travel to China.

And there are lots of people in and out of this hospital who are not following breaking news, or any news.

I want you to understand that as alarming as this list is, it trails by 24-48 hrs what journalist are chasing down (from @nytimes )
