News already came out yesterday in Danish+Icelandic. I was awaiting for news to come out in English aside Sputnik (reported yesterday, but not the best reference)!

The various types can provide important explanation as to severity, e.g. the deaths in Italy!
3 types were traceable as to where they were transferred from to Iceland - i.e. Italy, Austria, and England.

A mutation can be minor or major. Many of these variants are minor.

What's important to understand, with the mapping that's possible in Iceland, is that it demonstrates the wide difference btw, who R affected, who R'nt. W/ this info, then possible genetic differences in the RNA-virus can be tested in regard to symptoms.

All the data from Iceland is share in an international scientific 'bank'. Data is then comparable to e.g. South Korea etc.
In Iceland e.g. 50%, who have tested positive for the virus are non-symptomatic. 1 even tested positive for 2 variants!

It's not 'just' testing pos. for virus via simple test (risk of false pos/neg), it includes genetic mapping of each. The company deCode in co-op w/ Icelandic gov is key to this, since there was already a full genetic code-mapping of population taking place

The meticulous, quick-acting preventions taken (only 1% infected), collaborative task-force btw gov and deCode, + population size (easier to study) will prove invaluable for future pandemics, treatments (near+far future)+info on how to approach in future.
