Life is just action and reaction at it's simplest.
So is there no life as we know it?
Is nothing really alive?
If so, the dead are not really dead.
How about love and fear?
People die from virus like COVID 19.
Respiratory system collapses and oxygen supply reduces resulting in complications that lead to death.
Death occurs to all beings large and small.
Insects die, so does bacteria.
Bacteria being the smallest form of life that I know of
So, both of them can be termed alive in traditional sense.
I am claiming that there is no such thing as life.
Why?, read on.

Covid 19 made news about the number of strains found in USA.
People tracked the movement of strains.
Why does mutation occur? The replicating mechanism of a cell is at fault here.
An unintended consequence.
An error.
#Mutation
They had one job to do and they messed up.
Mutations happen rarely though.
When it happens and if the resulting dna has better survival rate, its a goal, a wicket or a score, however you want to call it.
It all happens by chance.
#Chance
Any where else, the mutations can lead to cancer.
The replication mechanism could have been perfect, but it is not.
That is the balance in nature right now.
Can they be considered as "reactions" too to certain "actions" that can vary from person to person?
Not everyone's love is the same and likewise everyone has different types of fear.
This is a classic case of results from #mutation.
