I know people don’t do it for the appreciation, but reinforcements will never be appreciated like they would be now.

If you live in other states, if you #StayHome, you can keep from going through what NY is. But if you do, I know New Yorkers, they will be there to help you (maybe with some attitude). 8/
If you live in a state without a lockdown order from the governor, good chance the governor also is one of the few who didn’t expand Medicaid. Don’t rely on their judgment for your family’s health. 9/
My advice is don’t selectively listen to your detriment. When the SG says today that more people die from smoking than COVID-19, it’s another version of saying “this is just the flu.”

ANYONE talking about deflecting blame now during a crisis is not where you should follow.10/

Update COVID April 6: I spent much of the day checking in first hand if the curve is really flattening.

Got a science update, looked at risk factors. We launched a new service to support front line health care workers.

In many ways today is the day we’ve been waiting for: we are between 2 and 3 weeks out from when the country went on lockdown.

The big question is what is happening to the growth in new cases? I decided to try to find out. 2/
The best way to find out is to look at data. And our national data showed that right on time, our growth rate in new cases has slowed. 3/

The US Inspector General whose job is to investigate and uncover the truth says the President is not telling the truth about the severe shortages hospitals face.
States are trying to band together now to play the function the Federal government would normally play.
Experts and scientists are having to work around the president who is trying to talk about life at the end of the tunnel.
