🇨🇳 For example, China enforced lockdowns relatively early. The number of daily infections peaked in mid-February, around 22 days after their lockdown was imposed

🇮🇹 Italy locked down faster than most in Europe - 39 days after the first #Covid19 case, and new cases peaked 13 days later.

🇪🇸 In Spain, the peak in new cases came 19 days after quarantine was imposed.

As the virus hit both countries hard, it will take longer to dissipate

🌍 Overall, countries which acted earliest might be able to escape lockdown earliest.

For example, Denmark, Austria and Switzerland all enforced quarantine measures within a month of identifying their first cases. None has seen more than 2,000 #Covid19 cases a day.

🇬🇧 If the UK's timeline mirrors China, the Government could consider lifting restrictions by early summer.

Experts say it takes about two weeks to see the impact of a lockdown, based on the incubation period of coronavirus.
