796 more #COVID19 cases have been reported in the last 24 hours, per @MoHFW_India’s latest (8 a.m., Apr 13) update. India’s total confirmed cases are now 9,152; 35 more deaths have increased the total to 308
India’s key #COVID19 statistics as of this morning:

India reported its first 1,000 cases in nearly 60 days (March 29). In 15 days, it has crossed 9,000 cases and reported an average daily increase of 542 cases. India reported its highest daily increase yesterday, at 918.
Maharashtra has reported the most cases (224) since 5 p.m. yesterday, per @MoHFW_India’s latest (8 a.m., Apr 13) update. It has 1,985 cases overall--the highest in India--followed by Delhi (1,154)
Kerala, which reported India’s 1st case of #COVID19 on Jan 30, has reported 2 cases since yesterday. In the 10 days to April 12, Kerala has reported an average daily increase of 13, compared to Maharashtra’s 146.
Maharashtra has reported its highest death toll of 22 in the 15 hours since last evening, per @MoHFW_India’s latest (8 a.m., Apr 13) update. It accounts for ~48% of all deaths in India.
Delhi has reported 5 more deaths, Gujarat 3, West Bengal 2, and Jharkhand, Tamil Nadu & Andhra Pradesh 1 each
Tamil Nadu has now become the third state after Maharashtra & Delhi to report >1,000 cases. It crossed the 500-case mark on April 6, a month after reporting its 1st case on March 7. In the 7 days to April 13, it has seen an average daily increase of 67 cases
MP has shown a decrease of 32 in cases to 532, possibly due to a data error or because cases were misappropriated from neighbouring states. It has the 2nd highest death toll (36) after Maharashtra, which has the highest mortality rate (of states with at least 100 #COVID19 cases)
217 new #COVID19 cases were detected in Mumbai yesterday, the 2nd highest increase after 218 on April 10. The total cases in the city stand at 1,399, higher than any state. 16 more patients died, pushing the death toll to 91
On Mar 29, states had 41,974 isolation beds in 163 hospitals for the 20% #COVID patients who would require hospitalisation, said Lav Agarwal, @MoHFW_India. As of 4 pm (Apr12), this had risen to 105,980 beds in 601 hospitals for 1,671 (20% expected) cases.

By 9 p.m. on Apr 12, India had tested 195,748 samples from 181,028 individuals, of which 8,312 (4.3%) individuals had been confirmed positive. On Apr 12, 15,583 samples were tested, of which 544 were positive, said an @ICMRDELHI press release
