•An international student who graduated from a designated learning institution and are eligible for the Post-Graduation Work Permit Program.
•A student who’s no longer able to meet the costs of your studies (destitute student).
•Applied for permanent residence in Canada
•Are a dependent family member of someone who applied for permanent residence.
•Are the spouse or common-law partner of an applicant of the Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program.
•Are a refugee, refugee claimant,protected person or their family member.
•Are a temporary resident permit holder.
•Are a young worker participating in special programs.
If your situation is not classified as anyone above,you can not apply for OWP.
An employer-specific work permit allows you to work according to the conditions on your work permit,which include:
•the name of the employer you can work for.
•how long you can work (Time Limit).
•the location where you can work (if applicable).
•Advertise the job in Canada in local and online media with attention of the advert on minority, aboriginals, people with disability,Canadians and Permanent Resident and others residing in Canada for a minimum of 60 days or more.
•Pay application fee of $1000CAD for the LMIA processing per employee
•OFFER the job/Contract with definitive time of completion, pay structure and compensations.
•Proof of Financial Support.
•Must apply for Work permit with government of Canada (IRCC) either online or paper-based submission.
•Must have copy of LMIA from the employer (Beware of fake LMIA)
•Must have a job offer/ Contract from the employer (Beware of fake Job offer).
•Pay application fees to IRCC.
•Medical is mandatory for some categories, countries and duration of work.
•Police Certificate might be required.
•Offering of jobs as security guards,cashiers,cleaners in Canada.We're not looking for these groups of workers in Canada.Beware of such job offer from the fake agent. e.g. Job offer from WALMART
•Be careful of jobs related offer from unverifiable online sources.Don't give out your personal information & Date of Birth please
•Agent presented Work permit to you (Fake work permit). Note:Work permit is not issued locally but at the Point of Entry upon arrival in Canada.
•Reach out to licensed consultant to help you verify such job offer.
•Contact Canadian Immigration office locally
•If it is too juicy, run away from it.
•Do not follow the crowd particularly from Social media or online.
•Download TRUECALLER app to help IDENTIFY spam calls.
•Report Immediately to RCMP or IRCC about Immigration Fraud.
•Report to your country local enforcement authority (Police, Immigration, and others)
