May 7th:Registered in the link that Embassy set out.
May 9th:Received an email from the Indian Embassy saying I’ve been selected based on electronic random process. We are asked to send the confirmation by end of day.

May 12th:Received a call from Air India and they’ve booked my ticket while i was on hold. I sincerely would like to appreciate the entire staff.
May15th:D-day. Flight at 11:25PM but At the airport by 3:30PM and 150 other people and here already.

Body temperature will be monitored and noted on passport before checkin. Just one carryon is allowed and it shouldn’t exceed 7kgs. Maintain good distance, please stand on the cross signs that are marked. A new form will provided and and we would submit it at the time of checkin.

Everything on time. They call out numbers batch wise and let us board. One mask for each passenger before boarding the flight and a bit of sanitizer. Seat full of food and protection gear which has 2 extra masks, sanitizer sachets and a face shield. #VandeBharatMission #AirIndia

After 14long hours here we are at Delhi-Indira Gandhi Airport. De-boarded the flight and security check ✅ . I don’t understand why🙄

.cargo van that carries our luggage. Once we reach the hotel our luggage is sanitized and scanned before checkin. The package comes with all three meals for 14 days. Family cannot visit during this time. Everything is organized and neat.

Appreciate the efforts taken by the Indian govt to bring back Indian citizens and AirIndia has played a major role in operating flights at the time of crises. Everything was well taken care off.

....travel with atleast 2 checkin baggages and the domestic airlines charge a lot of money for these checkin luggage. It would be really expensive for people traveling from other states. Moreover there are elderly people who are stuck and its not easy for them to travel.

This was a general opinion from the passengers I met during the travel who flew from 4 other states to Chicago. Something to be considered. #AirIndia #VandeBharatMission

According to the new Government protocol it’s a 7 day Quarantine only. So we left the facility on the 8th day. The health team did a regular temperature check and passports were given at the hotel after check out procedure. COVID tests were not done at the facility. I wonder...

..why? Maybe coz nobody showed symptoms? Not sure🤔 its better to stay home for 7 more days after the hotel 7 days quarantine.
Finally home after a long long longggg journey. Feels good💟
