Has there ever been such a damning & devastatingly well sourced exposure of a Prime Minister's failings as tonight's #Dispatches?

Boris Johnson & Dominic Cummings are responsible for so many deaths through their arrogance & negligence.

They should be in jail, not in No. 10.

Boris Johnson & his ministers were so full of Brexit swagger they simply couldn't recognise that a disease already wreaking havoc in other countries could possibly be a threat to Britain.

Self-inflicted ideological blindness.

Boris Johnson promised to protect these people & utterly betrayed them.

I tweeted this call for Boris Johnson & Dominic Cummings to face jail sentences without much thought, then worried it might seem to echo Trump's awful chant of "Lock her up". Of course no-one should be jailed except for serious crimes & after proper legal process, but...1/

...it seems to me that very serious offences have been committed. The first duty of a government is to protect the lives of its citizens. Boris Johnson surely has a duty of care in that regard, which he has flagrantly ignored with lethal consequences... 2/

3/...the same kind of duty as I have as a teacher. If I were to take a party of students on (say) a boat trip without taking proper safety precautions and having ignored warnings of an imminent storm, I would quite rightly be held responsible if they were then to drown.
