As I hv co morbid conditions, it was better not to take chances, so,
On the advice of my doctor, I went to nearest hospitals listed in govt websites. They were pvt.
Then I went to the frst hosp, there were two health care wrkers outside. They asked my symptoms.
How is it they admit cases but their test kits hv tech issues n they r not testing?
They further asked me if I had a prior appointment there.
They asked how n why I think I hv covid. Did I come in contact with a covid person.
Then, they directed me to another hosp nrby.
When asked, the health care workers, they directed me to a red container kept in a god forsaken unkempt shabby place with lot of discarded materials n containers.
So, I went to another counter n enquired. They asked me for referral letter from any doctor. One person asked my symptoms.
Another person said he ll go inside the hospital n find out if they test on Sundays.
Fourth guy said I shld book a slot . The slot may hv 60-100 per day n if I m lucky within the next week from Monday to Friday my turn will come up.
Bed n ICU anywhere upwards of 10L
reports of some patients being sent to govt from pvt hospitals.

Anyway I m in home quarantine as r my peeps.

It's either u pay n get treated or wait indefinitely for ur test turn for a week if very severe symptoms persist..in that case get admitted directly. Why test?
