1. Since serology/IgG can be readily measured, this is what is conventionally used to assess an individual's response

2. Just because T cell repertoire isn't measured, except for research purposes, doesn't mean it's not important. Very important. Like in this recent @SciImmunology paper that showed the #SARSCoV2-specific T cell response in patients with ARDS

3. So many studies have reported IgG, IgM but provide no insight on T-cell mediated immunity, no less serially assess this over time. A good example is this excellent recent paper @NatureMedicine in asymptomatic patients nature.com/articles/s4159…

Just published @nature, the unique, in-depth, serial assessment of >2,300 people in a town in Italy for #SARSCoV2. nature.com/articles/s4158…. Besides suppression of the outbreak, it is highly instructive that *42%* were asymptomatic infections, & differentiated from presymptomatic
The viral load of the people without symptoms was very similar to those with symptoms
It established, in a limited number of people, that asymptomatic carriers of #SARSCoV2 could infect other individuals. The frequency of this transmission is not known, and likely is low.
