The moving goal posts and lies of #COVID19 deniers:

- It's just NY problem, the rest of us have nothing to worry about.

- New cases are low around the country anyway.

- Don't look at the cases. Need to normalize by population.

- Number of new cases is still low compared to...

- States are chasing hot spots. Ignore increasing cases count.

- Sure, new cases are increasing but it is all because of testing.

- US positive test rate is still low. COVID-19 epidemic is OVER.

- Some states are seeing rising positive rates but nothing to be concerned about.

- Sure, both cases and positive test rates are increasing but that's still because of testing younger people.

- New cases counts don't mean anything because huge majority recover anyway.

- Ignore cases; you need to look at hospitalizations and deaths. Both are trending down.

- Ignore the new cases again. See, hospitalizations are flat week over week. Deaths are declining. That's what matters.

- Cases and hospitalizations may be increasing. Need to look at people in ICUs.

- You can't look at ICU numbers. Count only people needing intensive care.

- Sure, some states are seeing increases in hospitalizations but we have plenty of capacity. Wasn't that the point of flattening the curve?

- New cases and hospitalizations are mostly young people. We all know they are invincible. Still nothing to worry about.

- Why are you fretting about cases and hospitalizations?Look at the deaths trend.

- Sure, deaths not dropping as fast as before but it's all because of lockdown. Nothing to do with the virus.

- Hospitals inflate covid admission numbers to get more reimbursement.

- ICUs are typically full anyway, so don't believe the coverage about hospitals running out of beds.

- Also, you need to make distinction between hospitalization and deaths due to or with COVID-19.

- Don't believe the death numbers anyway. Most of the dead were of limited life expectancy.

- Most of the dead would have succumbed to some other disease anyway.

- It's all an international conspiracy to take away freedoms and change society. The virus was never a big threat.

- What resurgence? It's just a few states here and there. Doesn't mean we have a problem as a country.

- What mitigation? Mitigation doesn't work.

- Don't tell me to wear masks. Masks don't work. Besides you are infringing on my rights.

- Don't trust the scientists and public servants. I don't know of anyone who had the virus.

- Sure, I know a few people who had the virus but they all recovered.

- In the end, none of this matters. The virus will go away by itself.
