Let's stop and think about why a small story based on allegations & anonymous verifed sources spread nationwide.
It's strategic to have legal documents "leaked"/"Obtained" by a journalist that focuses on crime write this story, and the journalist is credible.

It fits into the State's predetermined & fabricated script of white outside agitators (either anarchist or white supremacist--- whatever works best for the situation) being a major factor in the riots/protests/uprising.

We've seen 2 articles like this pop up, including the #RVA article involving white boogaloo boys/white supremacists being a force of disruption in protests.

Why is this concerning? We feel that this propaganda perpetuates racist tropes, misinformation, and a way to rewrite the fact that people are fed the fuck up with this racist ass system.

This article is troubling on multiple levels-for one, it's based on a tip, but that tip is only verified by an anonymous source,& why would this information be "unsealed" considering the accused is still free?

Another issue is the timeline of the uprising. This story reimagines the chain of events, as well as categorizing it as a peaceful protest, and that the auto zone fire is what brought about a riotous atmosphere. That's bullshit. That's the same tactic used over a month ago.

It's a deliberate ploy used to pit people vs one another thru the false idea of the "good" & "bad" protester. We work better together, but the State would rather divide us, and keep us policing & denouncing tactics used by fellow protesters.

Also, the recent stories talk about white supremacists or armed boogaloo boys are the main agitators or perpetrators in these protests are used a deterrent/scare tactic to keep people away from showing up. The state likes to create boogeymen because fear works.

We're not defending the Hells Angels or the dirtbags in Aryan Cowboys because we have our own beefs with fashy motorcycle clubs, but we won't let the state revise the rebellion to being white led & instigated. That is total bullshit.
