We cannot organise ourselves grassroots-democratically so long as the mercenary #PatronState (Britain, America, or whatever it is) poses as our nation, in order to legitimise itself, its ruling elites & the immense wealth & power they wield & abuse.
The #NationState is an Orwellian construct, based on lies, deceit & a regime of rewards & intimidation. It conflates & confounds very different aspects of the original tribal environment in which human nature evolved.
The state deceitfully poses as our nation (intra- & inter-tribal environment), while at the same time facilitating society’s self-exploitation, as an extra-tribal environment, on a par with the natural environment, which we are also exploiting to destruction.
This self-exploitation is a perversion of evolved human nature, which works to the personal advantage of society's ruling elites & favoured (especially wealthy and academic/formerly priestly) clients, at the expense of society at large & future generations.
George Orwell based his book, 1984, on 1930s German fascism & Soviet communism, which he projected onto a future Britain. He could not have imagined how #BigBrother would embrace #LiberalDemocracy, #AntiFascism & #AntiRacism, which is, however, what happened.
Big Brother is not a modern phenomenon, but as old as the state itself. In medieval times his power was split between Church & state. Now his power is imbedded within #TheMatrix of state & capital. By posing as our nation, he tricks us into loving him. No need for torture.
