As a Hindu who celebrates Vinayaka Chaturthi each year & as a doctor, this is how I think we ought to celebrate the festival this year.
1. E commerce sites/shops can take up home delivery of Vinayaka idols &other pooja items we buy.

3. We should celebrate inside our houses with just family.
4. No public processions or crowds must be permitted.
5. If other State Govt.'s want to be irresponsible it does not mean TN Govt must be too.
6. Public safety must be the primary concern of any Govt.

7. In TN we have for years not had processions or public display of idols for Vinayaka chaturthi. All this started in the last 20 years.
8. Each one of us has a responsibility towards our fellow citizens and to prevent disease spread.

10.Hundreds of people are still dying each day due to #Covid in TN.
11. My plea & request to @BJP4TamilNadu & Hindu Munnani is to not take away attention from fight against Covid. You will be saving lives, mostly Hindu lives, by not pushing this issue further.
