There are times when violence can also be considered अहिंसा if that violence is used to stop greater violence/evil.
e.g.
To kill a man who is taking away the lives of innocent is अहिंसा
If someone enters the house and molests a lady, a householder cannot keep quiet.
Similarly, in a war, a soldier cannot put down his weapons.
In either case, practicing ahiṃsā would be adharma, NOT dharma.
Similarly, a king must protect his subjects even if it requires violence to punish criminals or going to war with neighboring kingdoms if they attack.
A king should always raise his rod of chastisement to keep peace and order in his country.
He will fail in the discharge of his duty if he does not punish the wicked, and his country will be in a state of utter chaos.
The phrase अहिंसा परमो धर्मः is mentioned several times in the Mahabharata. These instances are explained below:
Vana Parva -
अहिंसा सत्यवचनं सर्वभूतहितं परम
अहिंसा परमॊ धर्मः स च सत्ये परतिष्ठितः
सत्ये कृत्वा परतिष्ठां तु परवर्तन्ते परवृत्तयः
Virtuous men are always kind to all creatures.
They abstain from doing injury to any creature, and are never rude in speech.
Those good men who know well the consequences of the fruition of their good and evil deeds, are commended by virtuous men.
Anusasana Parva -
Bhishma "a person of cleansed soul should be compassionate to all living creatures..."
And the first of all dharma is “ahiṃsā” (non-violence) - this starts with food.
(The idea that human being don’t kill any life-forms for FOOD.)
Abstention from cruelty is the highest Religion.
Abstention from cruelty is the highest self-control.
Abstention from cruelty is the highest gift.
Abstention from cruelty is the highest penance.
Abstention from cruelty is the highest sacrifice.
Abstention from cruelty is the highest puissance.
Abstention from cruelty is the highest friend.
Abstention from cruelty is the highest happiness.
Abstention from cruelty is the highest truth.
Abstention from cruelty is the highest Sruti.
Gifts made in all sacrifices, ablutions performed in all sacred waters, & the merit that one acquires from making all kinds of gifts mentioned in the scriptures, - all these do not come up to abstention from cruelty (in point of the merit that attaches to it).
The penances of a man that abstains from cruelty are inexhaustible.
The man that abstains from cruelty is regarded as always performing sacrifices.
The man that abstains from cruelty is the father and mother of all creatures.
Even these, O chief of Kuru's race, are some of the merits of abstention from cruelty. Altogether, the merits that attach to it are so many that they are incapable of being exhausted even if one were to speak for a hundred years.
Here अहिंसा is translated as abstention from cruelty in relation to killing for the sake of eating the flesh of the killed animal for personal pleasure.
In essence, Bhishma is stating that it is very beneficial to be vegetarian because thereby there is no cruelty to animals.

In 1950, The peaceful Buddhist country TIBET was INVADED by newly established Chinese Communist.
From International legal point of view Tibet remains an INDEPENDENT country under ILLEGAL OCCUPATION of China,Fact that China wishes it could whitewash from history
TIBET remains at the CORE of the China-India divide.
China made itself India's neighbour by gobbling up Tibet.
India must refer to the Himalayan frontier by its correct historical term — the "Indo-Tibetan border."
Tibet shares border with India, Nepal, Myanmar(Burma) & Bhutan.
Dharamshala — The Chinese government is guilty of mass GENOCIDE against the Tibetan people and we must urge the international community, governments and individuals to openly stand by Tibet and its people.
Modern Colonialism.
China is gradually swallowing the country after country.
After Sri Lanka's Hambamtota port, Nepal's Entire Politics, Pakistan's 19+ Billion dollars debt trap,
Loans to Kyrgyzstan, Maldives, Tajikistan, Djibouti & Mongolia.
Now #Laos falls to China’s Debt Trap
China never provides loan for those projects which will be successful in future,
they ONLY provide loan to those projects which will be a big failure in future.
So that China can trap these countries & due to which gave some or the other ACCESS TO THEIR ASSETS & STAKE to china
जो जान लुटा गए भारत पर,उन्हे ढंग का न सम्मान मिला.
The Forgotten Story Of Batukeshwar Dutt🙏
Independent India didn't accord him any recognition
&he spent his remaining life in POVERTY away from the political limelight.
The later life of the freedom fighter was painful & tragic
Hunger strike in jail - 97days
Batukeshwar Dutt along with Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev & several other revolutionaries initiated hunger strike in jail to protest against the abusive treatment of political prisoners by British.
They succeeded in securing some rights for them as well.
“Without my companions, how can I eat?
Let them come first.
I will be absorbed in my book till then.I won’t even know how the time passes,”
Batukeshwar was quoted saying this during his hunger strike in the second volume of Indian Revolutionaries A Comprehensive Study, 1757-1961.
"Fixing an arrow resembling the Rod of Brahma charged with a missile presided over by Brahama to his excellent bow,the exceedingly powerful Rama stretched it towards the sea"
