2./ For one thing it’s not as if there’s a shortage of GAY MPs or MSPs. And here’s the thing: if say the awful Margaret Ferrier made a fuss about being straight you’d probably want less MPs that made a fuss about being straight. Ditto on the gay front.
3/. As a gay man I’m so weary of embarrassing or stupid GAY MPs who make a fuss about being gay while being total master debaters - or like Nicolson and @StewartMcDonald throw women under the trans express bus. It’s why I no longer think gay MPs deserve support just for being GAY
4./ Tell the truth don’t you, like me, long to be able to vote for someone like Mick McGahey, Willie Hamilton, Teddy Taylor or the fabulous Margot? No not because they were straight but because they cared with every fibre of their being. And they had lived life. Big time.
5./ Cut to 26 year old Michael and his promotional videos. Just 6 months ago he tried to convince me if I saw someone entering a girls changing room who looked like a trucker and had a beard I should assume they were a nice transwomen not some predator. 🤯👇

8./ I hope Michael bounces back. Maybe he should start by acting less like the candidate of Scotland’s self-appointed rosa nostra. Gay people need supportive & brilliant elected officials first and foremost. Not arrogant out of touch gay ones with a bad case of gay tin ear.
