The Judicial Panel of Inquiry and Restitution sworn in yesterday by Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu has began its public sitting in Lagos State.
In a Statement signed today by the  Panel Secretary, Mr Babajide Boye, the sittings of the panel will hold in the open and as such, members of the public and the Press are invited to  be part of every sitting.
The statement, also announced that victims of Sars related abuses are encouraged to  submit memoranda  and appear before the panel.

 According to the Statement, the panel has six- months to complete its task.
While thanking members of the public and the media in the State for their anticipated support and cooperation, the Secretary enjoined Lagosians  to participate actively by reaching out to the panel via:

Lagos State Government has today condemned the vandalization of the warehouse at Mazamaza housing the food palliative packages donated to the State government by the Private Sector Coalition against COVID-19 (CACOVID) group.
The State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu had on September 22nd 2020 formally taken receipt of the food palliatives from the CACOVID team meant for distribution to the indigent. Image
The Government notes that the warehouse in question is not State owned and its usage was made available to the CaCOVID group. The State Government had been allowed to commence rebagging of food items allotted to it from the quantities meant for South West States.

- We have inaugurated a 7-man (now 8) Judicial Panel of Inquiry on SARS-Related human rights abuse in the State.

FLASH: The Lagos State Government has directed all pupils/students in public and private schools to stay at home following the tension generated by the anti- SARS protests.

Commissioner for Education, Mrs Folasade Adefisayo, who issued the directive today, said the safety of the pupils/students, parents and all staff working in schools is paramount at this critical period.
She however advised parents to keep an eye on their wards and not allow them to be used as willing tools in the hands of those who might want to hijack the protests to unleash mayhem on the society.
