In these few years of ministry, I have come across quite a number of people with different desires whenever we talk.

There are those who are seeking to be blessed and like I’ve seen, once they are blessed, excuses to serve God starts popping up.

It sad to see.

However, the people I have always enjoyed praying with are those who simply want more - more of God, more of the Holy Spirit, more from their relationship with the Holy Spirit.

They don’t thirst for anything but God.

I call them God Chasers.

All they desire is God’s will.

This was how I met MB after church service after I watched her ministration during Sunday Service in my parish.

“People won’t know that such a tiny frame carries so much power” I teased.

She laughs.

“However, I want more. How do I get it?” She asks.

“It’s simple”.

“You’re born again and speak in tongues but you need to improve on your tongues before worship and during worship”. Why don’t you come to the house for house fellowship this evening and I’ll show you”. I told her

“Yes!!!” She responds in excitement and I laugh.

I know it would be a beautiful meeting from what the Holy Spirit told me earlier as I fellowshipped in the morning.

One can literally touch the excitement and even as I write, I am feeling that joy.

House fellowship ended and many waited behind for prayers and counseling.

The prayer wasn’t for anything but for all to hold hands and just pray in tongues.

We would form a circle and just pray in tongues and every time the Holy Spirit would use someone in our midst.

I held her hands in the circle and told her to pray in tongues...

That was it! She just took off in tongues and after about 10 minutes, she started prophesying.

It was intense! As she was stopping, two others took over and people started crying and affirming what was being aside.

The Holy Spirit.

He’s incomparable.

After everything, we exchanged pleasantries and everyone went home but I knew Sunday service was going to be LIT!

She was the one who led the hymn for that day and that was it.

She took off in tongues again and everywhere was stirred. Service took a different direction.

No one could do anything else and that included the Pastor who just entered the cloud and started dropping words of knowledge for 45 minutes.

Prophecies were coming and people were just slain in the Spirit.

I went to a corner, looking and smiling.

The owner of the meeting has taken over and the timed programme went to dust!

It was beautiful!

The Holy Spirit is beautiful and He alone gives so much light and power to the gospel.

A parish that was struggling with a Sunday attendance of 80 turned 270 in 3 months!

A church without the Holy Spirit is like a Lion without a ROAR.

No power. No presence. No spark.

There’s a saying in Warri:

“Stove wey cold no de threaten fly.”

The Holy Spirit is that fire that would never give witches a resting place in His house.

Do you desire the gift of tongues?
Do you want the fire stirred?
Did you have the fire but it went cold?

Today is a good day to pray.
