The @TorontoStar is restarting it's internship program! Great news for Canadian #journalism. Paid internships are so important because many young reporters can't and really shouldn't work for free.

I understand that many hate and blame "mainstream media" for various things. But how to get people to seriously ponder a world without journalism?

And to loop it back to my first tweet about paid internships, if you think the mainstream media is filled with a bunch of over-privileged chumps, it's not going to get more diverse if the only people who can afford to be journalists are the wealthy.
