Vice President Mike Pence kicking off his final rally of #Election2020 recounting the night before the 2016 election, when he and President @realDonaldTrump were also in Grand Rapids for a rally stretching into the wee hours of #ElectionDay.
VP @Mike_Pence says the president had to "remind" @JoeBiden that he supports the Green New Deal (Biden has said he doesn't), and says that Biden stating his own stance on fracking means he's accusing the president of lying. #ElectionDay
VP @Mike_Pence, attacking @JoeBiden, says burning buildings and looting isn't protesting — something Biden himself said yet again just earlier tonight, as he has many times over the past few months. #ElectionDay
VP @Mike_Pence: "I couldn't be more proud to be vice president to a president who stands without apology for the sanctity of human life."

Current #COVID19 death toll in the United States: 231,000+. #ElectionDay
VP @Mike_Pence: "It's going to take at least four more years to drain that swamp. Just like the president says, it's a little deeper than we thought it was. We're draining it though. We found the plug — and we're gonna pull it tomorrow." #ElectionDay
Looks like @realDonaldTrump's five children are in Grand Rapids for their father's final rally of #Election2020 tonight, somewhere among the audience. Vice President @Mike_Pence is also still in Grand Rapids and came back on stage when Trump arrived. #ElectionDay
It's #ElectionDay, and @realDonaldTrump is on stage in Grand Rapids. He quickly launches into recounting his 2016 victory, noting that his final campaign stop that year was also here.

"I kept saying we have to finish off here. We can be a little superstitious." #Election2020
Trump: "It would be nice if your governor would open up your state."

Crowd starts a very loud and energized chant of "lock her up."

Once again: Michigan is re-opened, and has been in some capacity for months. #ElectionDay
President @realDonaldTrump has mentioned @BarackObama twice so far, both times referring to him as "Barack Hussein Obama," with an emphasis on the middle name. He also puts emphasis on Kamala when mentioning @KamalaHarris. #ElectionDay
President @realDonaldTrump says he's "perhaps the most innocent man anywhere in the history of the United States."

New York Times recently reported that he fears scrutiny from prosecutors if he loses the election. #ElectionDay
Closing message from President @realDonaldTrump: "I don't even talk about the men of the suburbs, I don't care about the men. He's going, 'oh, what about us?' I don't worry about it." #ElectionDay
President @realDonaldTrump again repeats the false claim that he was named Michigan Man of the Year at some point.

"I'm still trying to figure out how that happened."

The answer: it didn't. #ElectionDay
President @realDonaldTrump, after a rant on how he frequently trends on Twitter, says "I don't tweet, what I do is social media." #ElectionDay
President @realDonaldTrump: "I spent all this money on these large televisions, I call them big beautiful screens." #ElectionDay

At 1:13 am on #ElectionDay, President @realDonaldTrump wraps his speech in Grand Rapids — his last one of the #Election2020 cycle. Vice President @Mike_Pence joins the president on stage.

The Edenville and Sanford dams have breached, @GovWhitmer confirms.

"Please get somewhere safe now," Whitmer says.

Thousands of people still need to evacuate, she says, including in Tittabawassee Twp, Thomas Twp, Saginaw Twp, Midland and Sanford.
Downtown Midland could be under approximately nine feet of water in the next 12 to 15 hours, @GovWhitmer says, after multiple dams failed in the area.
"To go through this in the midst of a global pandemic is almost unthinkable," @GovWhitmer says.

She asks everyone going to shelters to wear their masks and maintain social distancing as best they can. #COVID19
