Much like every other state, our office is still counting mail-in ballots. We have until November 17 to certify election results. Just thought you should know! #HarrisVotes
For instance, yesterday was the deadline to receive ballots from military and overseas voters. You would want us to count those, right?
“Quite frankly, the process of democracy right now is about tedious accuracy." khou.com/article/news/p…
And like all states, all of the rules and deadlines are public information and can be found in the state election code, which you are welcome to read until your eyes cross at statutes.capitol.texas.gov/?link=EL

While it seems like election is over in Harris County, there are a few more steps our office is doing to make sure every vote is counted, and complete the election process:
Our office has until Monday to receive ballots cast by our overseas and U.S Military voters via Federal Post Card Application (FPCA). For more information about this visit HarrisVotes.com/votinginfo.
We are processing all mail ballots that were postmarked by Election Day and received by 5 PM yesterday.
Our office is also working to process thousands of provisional ballots that were cast during the election process.
Voters can vote at ANY of our more than 800 Voting Centers, which can be found along with their wait times at HarrisVotes.com/Locations. You'd be surprised how many people still don't know this! #HarrisVotes#VoteYOURWay
You only need one form of ID to vote. Your driver’s license works just fine (and it can be up to four years expired), but there are other options. See our website for ID requirements: harrisvotes.com/VotingInfo?lan…#HarrisVotes
Drive-thru voting is a safe, secure, and convenient way to vote. Texas Election Code allows it, and the Secretary of State approved it.
Here are a few other things to know about Drive Thru Voting (a 🧵)
Voter suppression is intense, but Drive Thru Voting is actually in tents.
Drive Thru Voting creates a different “structure” for a polling location. The tents are similar to stadiums, community centers, and other places that are typically used for voting centers.
You can also get an idea of how Drive Thru Voting works from this video:
Here is a thread of everything you need to know about the last day of Early Voting and a peek at what's ahead for Election Day in Harris County. #HarrisVotes#HouNews
Voters can vote at any of 122 Voting Centers. Our website shows you the closest location to you as well as wait times at that location and other nearby locations. It's pretty great, tbh. HarrisVotes.com/Locations
Today is the final day that voters can vote via limited ballot. That can only be done @nrgpark and in person. Limited ballots are for voters who recently moved to Harris County from another Texas county but haven't yet updated their voter registration.
Good morning and welcome to the final week of #EarlyVoting! Voting Centers are open until 7 p.m. today, but there are changes ahead! Rather than our usual GIF post, this is your thread for voting this week, whether you’re a seasoned pro or a voting newcomer. #HarrisVotes
Note the change in hours this week:
- Today and Friday are 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
- Tuesday-Thursday are 7 a.m.-10 p.m. at ALL locations.
- Also on Thursday, EIGHT locations will open at 7 a.m. and won’t close until 7 p.m. Friday. #HarrisVotes
We’re calling this 24-Hour Voting, though, yes, it is technically 36 straight hours of voting at these eight locations. The point is that these locations will be open overnight to serve shift workers. #HarrisVotes
