No joke, the Trump campaign has ***LITERALLY*** dropped allegations of not being able to observe the vote count in Pennsylvania. They revised their lawsuit: washingtonpost.com/politics/trump…
Rudy says they have moved the allegations lower in the filing — if this WaPo report is wrong that they are the same claims, I imagine they will get excoriated as they did in Bucks, Montgomery, and pretty much everywhere else
Point being: removing them probably would have been smart, given how similar allegations have not held up anywhere else in PA or across the country.

I just want to say: Substack is awesome. It is what you make it, the voices on Substack are incredibly diverse, anyone can start one and you can easily run your content through editors or operate a traditional media company on the platform. It is so disheartening to see the hate.
The barrier of entry to launch something on Substack is low. So whether you're Glenn Greenwald or someone just starting their writing career you could easily produce bad content if you approach it the wrong way. But that's true of basically any media or writing endeavor.
I am absolutely baffled to see so many people hating on a platform that is creating more financial opportunities for writers and reporters at a time when the media industry is sucking air. Just because some ppl you don't like are publishing there? Get over it. This is huge!

1/ I hate to say this, but I think something people are really underestimating is how far Trump has driven many of his supporters into the deep end — and how little even him “graciously conceding” will calm down 10% or so of the country, even when he does concede (which he will)
2/ One of the first inklings of this was the debate with Kirsten Walker, when Trump clearly felt she was being fair and even complimented her, but his supporters thought she was overtly biased and totally unfair.
3/ It’s been very obvious in other places too, though. QAnon is an example that’s quite known to everyone — where Trump is no longer “driving” but his supporters are. They made the theory and goaded/pushed him into it, not the other way around.

1/ ALRIGHT Y'ALL. ELECTION FRAUD DEBUNKING MEGA THREAD. I’m following claims of fraud and looking into them. I think I’ve solved most now. Nothing is holding up under any scrutiny so far so I’m making a thread to track in one place. Please RT! #ElectionResults2020 #Election2020
2/ By far the most viral of these claims is the video of officials in Detroit papering up/boarding up the windows inside their polling center in Michigan. This, admittedly, was a bizarre sight. But was 100% explainable and was the right thing to do.
3/ Officials rightly blocked the windows when crowds came inside and began trying to film ballots. Poll watchers EXCEEDED THE LIMIT INSIDE. This is not legal - you can’t barge in and film who ppl voted for. OF COURSE, there were *134 REPUBLICAN POLL WATCHERS* inside the room.

Could Fox News Decision Desk call this election before midnight tonight? They have AZ, WI, and they'll call Michigan soon. Once we get another Nevada batch (later today) it will likely be over. Would be pretty wild if they are first. #Election2020
Nevada now saying they will announce results tomorrow. PA vote count is still coming in, and the Fox News Decision Desk has the same data Wasserman, Cohn, etc. do. It's all numbers, and I could see them calling PA (and thus the election) before midnight.

1/ YOUR DUMB MAPS THREAD -- here are the different kinds of maps I'm seeing out there, and what they mean to me.

Map #1: the safe bet I'd bet my actual money on (the polls are basically right, nothing really interesting happens, I am a nerd and love data) Image
2/ Map #2: The Trump upset map. If Trump is going to win, this is probably how he does it. (I am a pragmatic Trump supporter who really wants to see a path for him and this is the path I see) Image
3/ Map #3: The Biden crushing map. If the polls are wrong, but underestimating Biden, we quickly head toward this outcome. (I am a diehard Democrat who has aneurysms because of Trump and this is my optimistic hope for election night) Image

1/ Alright. Let's go through this Kim Strassel column. The lede of a story is always incredibly telling, so surely hers will center on the bombshell news that Joe Biden corruption is now proven!
2/ This is unlike anything we have ever seen in American politics. Here we have a politician who is -- buckle up your seatbelts everyone!!!! -- worried about his "family brand."
3/ Alright everyone. This part is confusing. See if you can follow along. Hunter Biden, Joe Biden's son, was trying to make money based on who his father was. I know, I know. It's incomprehensible. What kind of family would profit off their own name???
