With #MontereyCounty awash in corruption it's important to know the political ties to the area - Billionaire Tom Siebel has interests here and he is @GavinNewsom's father-in-law.

"The previous record for a home sale in Monterey County is just three doors down from the new Panattoni home. In 2000, it was sold by Pebble Beach CEO Bill Perocchi to Silicon Valley billionaire Tom Siebel"
3/"for $28 million. After real estate values plummeted, Seibel sold the house for $17 million in 2010, when it was subsequently torn down and is being replaced with a large new home."
Siebel's dabbling in MoCo real estate for "vacay" doesn't end there. Just like @Schwarzenegger
4/
Tom Siebel sold his asset (people) mgmt company Siebel Systems to Larry Ellison - Oracle.
imagine he is more dangerous than Putin or the CCP.
imagine that blackmail material is a real thing, which shouldn't be too hard since we have been talking about something as dumb as Russian sex slaves urinating on him.
now

if you are a Californian - imagine all you know about @GavinNewsom (the morally bankrupt parts he always apologizes for, not the better things)
Imagine you are @RepJimmyPanetta who has been rolling around with some questionable investor types and other terrible sh••.
3/
Now imagine you are a psychopath with the full force and weight of the US GOVERNMENT at your literal disposal. Imagine you are the guy who called a dictator "little rocket man" then met with him. Imagine cut throat ruthless.
"They backed up their claim to credibility with an unusual level of transparency: They identified their owners, investors, shareholders, donors, or sponsors. Most revealed detailed financials, with revenue and expenses." ijnet.org/en/story/5-thi…

"They encourage their audiences to participate in information gathering–crowdsourcing. They use two-way communication or interactivity with the public to get story suggestions and news tips, and to do collective investigations."
still 0 for 3
3/
"News media need to build credibility and trust by interacting more directly with their audiences, listening to their audiences, adopting transparency about their owners and investors, detailing their funding sources and spending practices,"
.@SheriffBernal is an elected official. He was unopposed in 2018 (Scott Davis doesn't count) and he should be removed from office by vote (or @FBI arrest).
The MoCo District Attorney is also an elected official. She also ran unopposed (no Scott Davis didn't challenge her)
2/
The Sheriff and the DA should face rigorous opposition considering what is taking place in the most corrupt county in all of California's 58 counties.
The abuses here have been tacitly sanctioned by the Gov. @GavinNewsom and a feckless California AG @AGBecerra.
Here is the deal as I understand it with Barnett Davis and the Low Income Family Enrichment 501(c)3.
The County of Monterey didn't know who the hell this guy was so they hired a private investigator to figure it out - politicians were pushing for a transaction where

#Salinas would co-sign some lease revenue bonds based on the County of Monterey as the tenant. The Quadrangle (a Kobrinsky development) had been for sale for years and had no takers.
DD Make America Great Again err, "Imagine a Great City" (no shit that was Dennis' slogan)
3/
* DD is Dennis Donohue (@kimbleycraig's mentor and maybe "third father" to Don Chapin's number two position) knew the guy because he worked it - like he worked Green Vehicles, like he worked the development in Oldtown, like he worked for Dave Drew.*
No mention of her relationship to the Panettas. Curious.
"There's nothing that's going to happen (to Reade) in terms of the criminal law," Brannon says. "I don't think we can prove in front of a jury that this is material beyond a reasonable doubt." montereycountyweekly.com/blogs/prosecut…

Berk Brannon spearheaded the criminal investigation into MoCo Sheriff Sgt. Joe Banuelos and added a second felony charge to his alleged crimes. Because he actually read the file.
ADA Thelander and Judge Russ Scott dumped this case during the trial. Kompromat and all.
3/
It is not surprising that Berk believes he couldn't get a case past a prelim in Monterey County the Superior Court bench is that corrupt. Not all, but key figures. That's the point. Government corruption depends on key figures not a vast sea of garbage people. Just a handful.
