If your rememember, end of July, I talked on Twitter about a swab done to me closer to the olfactory bulbs following my recurring complaints of feeling something gurggling here (I often talked about that on Twitter)..2/n
..then the doctor told me to not talk anymore about these trials, especially on social networks. Mid October I was called to be told that my PCR (usual nasal swab) done end of July was negative, like all of them, 1st one being done at 4,5 weeks) BUT 3/n
BUT that the swab made closer to the olfactive bulbs was positive . I was here still asked to not say anything before the publication was officially released, which happened these last days. 4/n
Talking about myself: I now have a formal Covid19 diagnosis as I only had PCR- and no antibodies (done recentely)..otherwise nothing new to me as, as I told you, I clearly feel infectious viral persistence and I had/have no doubt than #longCovid#apresJ20 issues come from it 5/n
.even if I hadn’t had the information I had from China beginning of year (not the official infos), which turn to be unfortunately all true, and that some doctors took seriously.. 6/n
... (then on top of that you have all the issue than viral persistence can create : inflammation, auto immune disease..etc) 7/n
For all the #longCovid#apresJ20 it’s an important step : this study now demonstrates that all persistence of smell/taste modifications mean viral persistence..and it is surely true in other organes (according to doctors). 8/n
These analysis are not routine swabs but I understood that they could be part of studies to come.
As of today, this publication can already be shared with our doctors, as before we have a comprehensive and needed care 9/n
(especially thanks to the incredible work of patients associations), we should also rely on local GP/specialists initiatives who can also have some ideas which can help doing new steps forward- who knows

#Covid19#longCovid#apresJ20 Voilà la partie que je vais retenir : « #SarsCov2 resurged again & again in the body of an infected man..
#longCovid#Covid19#apresJ20 3 hallmarks of #Covid19 : [..] persistent viral infection, endothelial dysfunction [...] lung thrombosis, [..] presence of large numbers of dysmorphic cells in the lung. 👇
👆#LongCovid#Covid19#apresJ20 Presence of abundant cytoplasmic RNA signals and expression of the Spike protein in the lungs after 30-40 days from diagnosis in our study suggests ongoing replication and postulates a continuous pathogenetic role of viral infection.👇
