Giant iceberg on course to collide w/ Atlantic penguin colony island. Scientists fear that iceberg could crush marine life on the sea floor. Should it lodge, it could block penguins and seals off from to feed their young. reut.rs/3gv8Y5b
2) “The gigantic iceberg—dubbed A68a—is on a path to collide with the South Georgia Island, a remote British overseas territory off South America. Whether that collision is days or weeks away is unclear, though, as the iceberg has sped up and slowed down with the ocean currents.”
3) “A collision is still uncertain, as the currents could carry the iceberg past the island, Tarling said.
"The currents around the island are complex, and it is still possible it may miss," Tarling said.”
4) “Images captured by a British Royal Air Force aircraft and released on Tuesday show magnitude of the monstrous, 4,200-square-kilometer iceberg.
"The sheer size of the A68a iceberg means it is impossible to capture its entirety in one single shot," British officials said

📍HOLY MOTHER OF CONQUERING A HOSPITAL OUTBREAK—Vietnam quashed a big 🏥 #COVID19 outbreak. Besides tracing 50,000+ people who were 1st, 2nd, 3rd degree contacts, they also quarantined & gave **FREE ROOM 🛌 & BOARD 🍲 to 27,893** F1 & F1 close contacts during quarantine! Wowzers!
2) Think that was a typo? No. They literally quarantined all contacts and even used a “new 9-story building” for accommodations. Plus used hospital contingency funds and Hanoi city funds for food and necessities.
Jesus! Because that’s would Jesus would do!
3) Altogether, 7664 at the hospital were quarantined, for a total of 52,000 total contacts. They **only** centrally quarantined and fed 27,000 of them. I wish other govts can learn from Vietnam. They aren’t even that wealthy. But they valued lives. wwwnc.cdc.gov/eid/article/27…
Bathrooms are a concern—because of toilet 🚽 plumes. “Because a flush can release plume of aerosolized droplets in the air—and we know #SARSCoV2 can be spread in fecal matter—encountering toilet plumes from others may put you at risk for #COVID19.” @NatBCo washingtonpost.com/travel/tips/ro…
2) “Often people get a false sense of security because if they go into a bathroom & don’t see anyone else, they think they’re safe. But we know aerosols can stay in the room for anywhere from 20 min to 4 hours. It depends on ventilation, & often bathrooms have poor ventilation.”
BREAKING—Successful faster-than-speed-of-light demonstration of **QUANTUM TELEPORTATION** of up to 44 kilometer. @Caltech & @Fermilab scientists teleported quantum info for a sustained period across distance of 44 km via quantum entanglement teleportation. inqnet.caltech.edu/Press-PRXQ-dec…
2) “In a quantum internet, information stored in qubits (quantum equivalent of computer bits) is shuttled, or teleported, over long distances through entanglement, a phenomenon in which particles become intrinsically linked to each other even when separated by vast distances.”
3) “A key feature of quantum networks is their fidelity, or the quality of teleportation, which characterizes how close the teleported qubit is to the original. In the new study, quantum teleportation was performed with a fidelity of more than 90 percent.” caltech.edu/about/news/qua…
BREAKING—White House official who fell ill with #COVID19 in September is recovering after 3 months in the hospital—and lost his right foot & lower leg in his battle against the virus, sources say. Crede Bailey is the director of the WH security office. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…
2) “Bailey’s friends have raised more than $30,000 for his rehabilitation through a GoFundMe account. “Crede beat COVID-19 but it came at a significant cost: his big toe on his left foot as well as his right foot and lower leg had to be amputated,” Dawn McCrobie, who organized
3) “Bailey is now at a rehabilitation center and will be fitted for a prosthetic leg in the coming months, she wrote.
“His family has staggering medical bills from a hospital stay of 2+ months and still counting in the ICU and a long road ahead in rehab before he can go home”
BREAKING—“New variant" (mutation) of #SARSCoV2 has been identified, believed to be causing faster spread, UK Health Secretary said. Its spread is growing faster than existing variant, w/ over 1,000 cases found, "predominantly in south of England". #COVID19 news.sky.com/story/new-vari…
2) UK has notified the @WHO. The new variant was officially identified for first time last week. Hancock told MPs there is currently "nothing to suggest" this variant is more likely to cause serious symptoms, adding that it is highly unlikely that it won't respond to a vaccine.
3) We’ve seen mink mutations of #SARSCoV2 before too. But this is why we gotta stop this. The longer the virus circulates, the greater the chance of this happening more until one day we get really “unlucky”.
