309 beds + $3,664,700 from province to add 15 hospital beds & 5 critical care beds = 329 beds.

Indeed, Southlake is under so much pressure from covid that this "tipping point" has led them to lay off nurses.

Provincially, we still haven't seen any data suggesting that hospitals in Ontario are under any more pressure than in the annual flu season.
This year seems rather normal. This is not an issue of people flooding the hospitals.
