Last night, the #US Senate just said Trump can send $23 billion in sophisticated weapons to the #UAE, including #F35s, Reaper drones, and munitions. The UAE is a leading driver of violence in the #Yemen & have helped push millions to the brink of famine. #YemenCantWait

The #UAE has also been arming Al Qaeda affiliates and other militias in Yemen with US made weapons. The silver lining is that most Dems voted against and that Biden has the chance to block delivery of these deadly weapons in the new year. #YemenCantWait

I was hopeful that some of the more outspoken Rs on human rights issues would do the right thing. But I was sorely mistaken. I'm most upset with the Senator Sinema and Kelley from AZ, who voted against their own party and with @senatemajldr to support these sales. Shameful!

I really want to know... if the Senators who voted no had a chance to speak with any real live Yemenis before this vote about what these drone sales, or did they just hear from folks like Gen Mattis, Jared Kushner, the UAE ambassador, and Raytheon? #Yemencantwait

These lawmakers just voted to arm one of the worlds leading human rights abusers with billions worth of the deadliest weapons known to humankind. They should be ashamed of themselves. #YemenCantWait
