.@bradleyzeve has a bias, why?

"Thus far, the rest of the Monterey County press corps has declined to take on this topic, partly because of tensions between the local media & Schneider while he was running Bernal’s successful sheriff’s campaign in 2014." voicesofmontereybay.org/2020/12/12/sta…
2/

The @mcweekly has no business withholding important news from the community they serve because they are butt-hurt over a political consultant who ran a campaign for @SheriffBernal (a guy @bradleyzeve has gone soft on because of his weird relationship with Armanasco & Panetta)
3/

But even the claim that it's "hurt butts" causing local, dilapidated print journalism, like the @mcweekly, @MontereyHerald and @salnews to ignore the illegal and consequential conduct of Steve Bernal following his 2014 Sheriff's race win.

It isn't.

Kingmaker Judge
4/

John Phillips (now a county supervisor @PhillipsForSup), corrupt @SupervisorAlejo, newly elected Salinas mayor @kimbleycraig,

consultant PLASHA WILL,

the same commanders mentioned in the voices story (Archie Warren, Joe Moses (less) and Mark Caldwell,

@REPJIMMYPANETTA
5/

all worked in concert to get a deputy to replace the outsider the county voters elected in 2010 - Scott Miller.

Why?

MONEY.

Why else?

The entire system is dependent on a government that looks the other way with dirty cops, dirty politicians, corrupt judges and DA's, and
6/

rich businessmen - who our local, state and federal government have always bent over backwards for, rather than the "every person".

And guess what new business was in line to make a select handful of locals (across California) wealthier than they had ever dreamed?
7/

The legalization of #cannabis - or as I (and my more regular friends) call it, the verboten "#marijuana".

Monterey County is an agricultural hotbed and climate is perfect, or near perfect, soil is perfect, Ag infrastructure already in place for major distribution.

What were
8/

the crooks all worried about?

THE SHERIFF. The chief law enforcement officer in every county in California's 58 counties. Someone who has serious resources to deal with an absolutely corrupt political system now dealing with a once "major narcotic" which continues as a
9/

federal Schedule 1 drug, illegal - as a VERY SELECT FEW look to cash in on a business many of these same people were already involved in.

(@JoeLivernois can fact check this based on the good old First Cabin LLC days, Marijuana and Cannery Row circa 1980 something).
10/

The desperate (and successful) attempt to oust an outsider sheriff and replace the outsider with a yes person has had its desired effect.

There was just too much marijuana money at stake.

* and @JerryBrownGov pardoned a "concert promoter". 😂

@DarwinBondGraha
11/

The cover-up in Monterey County of a very real public corruption investigation by the @FBI, @DEAHQ, @AGBecerra, @CA_FPPC is about more than hurt feelings because a political consultant named Christian Schneider is methodically and accurately complaining about these corrupt
12/

officials (who did Schneider dirty and "hometown'd him) officially, using the same legal system they are trying to game.

It's about keeping the details of this sordid affair from the community.

The @FBI questioning a few political consultants, an alleged rapist, a former
13/

reporter with @KSBW @AmyLarson25 - in 2018, has largely gone unchecked by our prominent news entities in this insular community.

Not discussed, like a dysfunctional family that never talks about reality but actively tries to keep dirty laundry out of dining room convo.
14/

Congrats to the consultant making big waves in the MoCo political scene.

If it wasn't for outsiders like Christian Schneider making waves other people might figure it's just too much hassle for no personal benefit.

But we can't let our own Trumpisms in our own communities
15/

continue. The future depends on an honest account of what has taken place in all of our communities over the last two decades - to deal with all those little things we have all let go unsaid for too long.

It's too bad the @mcweekly, @montereyherald, @salnews won't take part

... ruh roh.

That PG council meeting was entertaining.

Coming to 420 the government is revealing itself as the burdensome corrupt mafia it has become. Marijuana, a plant.

Government first said it made everyone refer mad.

Then government then said (after decades of throwing

minorities in prison with lengthy sentences for relatively light weight contraband contrasted with - the opposite of that) we want, no, strike that, we need part of that $$ action because CalPERs just gave us "a return of 4.7% after promising higher

If anyone would be holding a grudge against Schneider it shouldn't be *what's left of* local print journalists, *they* weren't threatened by rogue cops - with death. Schneider didn't threaten to kill anyone, he's a campaign consultant. He behaves exactly like Plasha Will

without all of Plasha Will's lawbreaking. (Believe me if I had found something juicy about CS when he ran Bernal's 2012-2014 campaign, I would have yelled about it from a variety of marketing platforms)

... State Senator, and corrupt politician, @CASenCaballero was hand delivered a non-profit when she was Mayor of Salinas. Caballero needed to make a little bread so other, more powerful politicians hooked up "Partners for Peace" to pay her $100,000 per year for three years using

The guy on the far left is Bitar:

Does that seem like clean, ethical conduct, closely linked to a United States Congressman who has also taken things of value from Bitar's associated group, Grupo Flor.? Who rents office space in #Salinas from Mike Bitar.
