my running joke with everyone who buys $300 coolers is every time I need a $300 cooler I’m around people who already bought a $300 cooler so why do I need one

if you need to keep 30 beers cold longer than three days with a group of people I question your commitment to drinking beer
beer has been gone for two days but thank god we have dirty ice water
no you don’t understand if you don’t open the lid at all the ice barely melts at all oh ok good thing I do not need to open it up to get a beer then
ok since I have strong opinions on coolers here is what you do, you buy 2 $50 coolers and put bags of ice in one and beer in the other and wrap the ice cooler in a $15 waterproof picnic blanket and only open it when you need fresh ice
the ice will last 3 days in this trick and you’ve only spent $115
I don’t want to hear from the nerds who need a yeti cooler to keep fish cold on their $225,000 fishing boat or pack out an elk on a $10,000 guided hunt you are clearly not out to save a few bucks
if yeti wants my $300 they make a cooler that holds 60 beers and neatly dispenses them one at a time from a slot like a vending machine, I would buckle like a belt and shell out for that cooler
