We report 7,348 B.1.1.7 sequences on GISAID from 27 countries as of this morning. In addition to previously represented countries, Oman reports 1 B.1.1.7 sequence.
We report 363 B.1.351 (501Y.V2) sequences on GISAID from 5 countries – no increase from yesterday's report. @Tuliodna
We also present updated reports of B.1.1.7 and sequence counts for countries with more than 5,000 flight passengers from London in October, in addition to an updated global map coloured by reports of imports or local transmission of B.1.1.7. @MOUGK @EvolveDotZoo @viralverity
We report flight data from South Africa in October with reports & sequence counts of B.1.351/ 501Y.V2 overlayed, in addition to the global map of B.1.351/ 501Y.V2 reports. Note the flight data reflects final destination of a booking, but not necessarily of a passenger. @Tuliodna
As of 2021-01-06, lineage B.1.1.7 has been reported in 45 countries and is represented by sequences from 27 countries. Lineage B.1.351/ 501Y.V2 has been reported in 12 countries with sequences from 5 countries.
