Lisa Woodruff, a #wmata senior executive who the WMSC says broke safety protocols and instructed others to do so at the rail operations control center, is being appointed by Metro's Chief Operating Officer as his SVP for Business Process Development, overseeing 4 departments. 1/4
Woodruff was reassigned back in September, 2020, while #wmata investigated the allegations against her by the WMSC. Metro later issued a statement (wmata.com/about/news/Lit…) clearing her of direct wrongdoing (but agreed that a caustic environment at the ROCC existed) 2/4
While Bus and Rail operations report to the #wmata GM through the Chief Operating Officer's department, Woodruff does not oversee either in her new position. The four groups she'll oversee are: 4/4
(cont'd) #wmata is now hiring an outside firm to help recruit to fill 3 positions - one of which is the Senior Vice President, Rail Services position that Lisa Woodruff previously held.
The other two positions are in HR (Director, Total Rewards and Director, Talent Acquisition)

Yellow/Green line delays inbound @ Fort Totten due to unexpected loss of 3rd rail power. #wmata
#wmata Yellow/Green Line trains are single-tracking around an area of track that is currently w/o 3rd rail power (down unexpectedly). Southbound Green Line train 502 is stick at the moment, unable to move, between Fort Totten and Georgia Ave b/c of this.
The kitten is laying on a lightbulb "trying to stay warm" next to the inbound Yellow/Green track at Fort Totten, per #wmata radio. Trains continue to single-track via the outbound track. Did somebody at CSX let Chessie out and forget to check the fence for holes?
