Here’s another way to look at @jkenney’s pipeline debacle...

Given a minimum income of $2000 a month.

That’s $24,000 a year.

There are about 6,000 homeless in Alberta.

That ends homelessness in Alberta.

With $1.356 billion left over

So let’s carry some of that over to #AISH.

There are about 70,000 Albertans reliant on AISH.

To top them up to the same level?

That’s just over $264 million a year.

We still have over a billion dollars left.

#abpoli #ableg #cdnpoli
Let’s see, what else does our province need?

How about training a bunch of electricians to install solar panels?

The course is $1000

Let’s put 10,000 electricians to work upgrading our electrical system.

That costs us $10 million in training.

/3

#abpoli #ableg #cdnpoli
BTW at this point we still have $990 million to play with.

Let’s put $400 million of that to front load subsidies to pay for solar panels for those electricians to install.

We still have $500 million left.

#abpoli #ableg #cdnpoli
The average teachers aid makes about 28,000 a year.

Let’s hire almost 9,000 across the province, and we still have about $250 million left.

Let’s just put that into hiring another 9,000 employees across the province to work in seniors homes.

#abpoli #ableg #cdnpoli
So using our fancy back of a napkin math...

@jkenney could have...

-ended homelessness in Alberta
-supported the most vulnerable,
-put 10,000 tradespeople to work future proofing our electrical grid
-improved education & supported seniors

#abpoli #ableg #cdnpoli
But instead, he flushed all of that down the drain.

Quite the legacy when you compare the two...

What would you have rather seen that money spent on?

THREAD!!!!

We have just confirmed directly with someone who is intimately aware of how @jkenney and the @UCPCaucus do business that it is impossible that the premiers office was unaware of his traveling MLA’s.

/1

#abpoli #ableg #cdnpoli
This is not speculation.

We were stunned when this person reached out to our little show here.

They did not equivocate.

The premiers office had to be aware of every traveling MLA and staffers.

/2

#abpoli #ableg #cdnpoli
Not only does this effectively confirm that @jkenney appears to have deliberately misled Albertans, but it also seems to confirm that @TanyYao is deliberately being thrown under the bus.

On Sundays we’re supposed to be thankful for something.

Today, we just want to thank Comms Pros Michael Forian & @ElizaSnider8 for having the lack of foresight to be the first to post pictures of their Hawaii vacation of their own volition.

/1

#abpoli #ableg #cdnpoli
Without them, it would have eventually come out with UCP MLA’s posting pictures, displaying that same lack of judgement, but those two really got the ball rolling.

And that deserves to be recognized.

We wouldn’t have imagined Alberta taxpayers would get their money’s worth from the salaries for the two, but we really did.

Had their incompetence not been put into their positions of power, they wouldn’t have been able to screw up this badly.

A story in two pictures...

This government is worse than the Russians when it comes to disinformation.

1 - We’ve taken another look at @PugetSoundPSR, who published the original internet post that we were DM’d yesterday from an individual who has proven to be quite reliable.

PSR appears to be a quite a far right leaning organization, and that forces some questions...
2 - First of all, how does a small, apparently independent organization out of BC get leaked info on an Alberta based radio host?

Secondly, why does PSR have a ready to go theory for RJ’s departure, particularly one so inflammatory?
3 - @ryanjespersen has been a fixture in Alberta Talk Radio for quite some time. Why has his removal been so quietly done up until today?

1 - Despite the fact that the @Alberta_UCP and @jkenney campaigned on what they claimed were morality and ethics, their creation of the @CDNEnergyCentre has shown that what they’ve brought to Alberta is anything but...

#abpoli #ableg #cdnpoli
2 - We forwarded our discovery to (among others) the Ethics Commissioner, hoping that the Office of the Ethics Commissioner would be able to do something to force some ethical behavior from @jkenney and his @Alberta_UCP.

We were wrong.

#abpoli #ableg #cdnpoli
3 - It seems there’s no doubt that @jkenney, the @UCPCaucus and the @Alberta_UCP have misled Albertans as to what their real values are, because they certainly appear to have grossly compromised what they claimed they stood for.

1 - Ironic that @MattWolfAB would invoke Trump in this bit of wordplay.

To make an argument that it’s technically true if read by a physician is disingenuous.

That article was not published in a medical journal, it was published in a newspaper.

#abpoli #ableg #cdnpoli
2 - The target audience of this paper was not physicians, rather parents & people who likely have no medical background whatsoever.

Matt’s “clever” use of ellipses ignores that @CMOH_Alberta made the distinction that Covid is not Airborne like measles.

#abpoli #ableg #cdnpoli
3 - And while it’s absolutely true that Covid is not airborne, @CMOH_Alberta was also clear that proximity is a critical factor in transmission, which is not the message the @UCPCaucus sent yesterday.
