What is Shikharji
Why it shud be Tagged as Holy city.

Significance of any sacred place lies in its most sacred spot,
20 tirthnkar have attained nirvan from this place, each spot is sacred
No valuer in the world can assess the value of this place.

There are 24 tirthankar in jainisim,
Out of 24 , 20 have attained nirvan from this place one can imagine how sacred this place is for jains from all sects.
Religious thought plays an important role. Many jain munis travelled here to achieve salvation,
Shikharji comes into Giridih district, Jharkhand, India, is located on Parasnath hill, the highest mountain in the state of Jharkhand.
Pilgrimage is a round trip of total 27 km through the madhuban forest.
Map showing distance from Taleti to Top peak of hill.
Jains have always stood up for this tirth.
And they do not ever wish to loose it's sanctity by promoting tourism and other unwanted activities at this place.
Lakhs of Pilgrims come here to worship the nirvaan bhumi .
Map showing distance form station to hill
Lately many unwanted things have been come up in this area regarding nonveg food , n alcohol availability and etc (nearby places)
These things hurts the sentiments of jains and ppl worshipping the place a lot
These are eateries found on the hill which jains shud avoid eating at
Somewhere we are giving them reasons to open more of such eateries.
Holy city tag will give needed guard against unavoidable and unruly things and various other aspect.
Tag has to be followed with a certain decorum and comes with rules and regulations.
Holy city tag will help jains to maintain the sanctity and sacredness of the place as it is.
Even on international front this jain tirth will get a needed acclimation, so that the world knws how important place it is mankind.( Which one can experience only after visiting it)
Construction of houses near the Temple and hills have been increased a lot lately.
After the holy city tag all these things comes under control.
This is construction(black spots) built by locals which spreading near hill
Red spots are the Temple's been constructed by jains.
Holy city tag will not only give it a moment of pride but also it,ll help in safeguarding the flora and fauna of the hill and other control over illegal activities on hill by adivasi tribes.
There many rarest herbs available on the hill which are known to few ayurvedic dr.
This is the detail places and number temples (Tuk, Tonk) which pilgrims visit on this hill with bare foot
A pilgrim does a 27km round trip with bare foot only when one has a supreme devotion towards the Tirthankaras.
Such is the importance of this place
It's an humble request
To the @PMOIndia @HMOIndia @JharkhandCMO @ZeeBiharNews @JmmJharkhand @BJP4Jharkhand to consider this and give Shikharji a tag of
Holy city..

There were many tribes in Bihar , jharkhand , west bengal who were earlier Jain's but with time and few cruel kingdoms have forced conversion to them. Like
In odisha- ashwini , julahe , rangpi julahe , sarak manjinath , alekhi , rangiya
In Bihar n jharkhand
Cont..
#sarak #jain
Adhariya , bhumihar , sarak , bhil .
In west bengal
Sarak , sadgoup ( medinipur )
In ranchi there lives a Tamadiya Sarak in tamad paragana they basically came here from ayodhya and it's near by area's they have 17 Gotra mainly
are adidev, anant dev, dharm dev, kashyap .
Adinath , anantnath , dharmnath were born in ayodhya n nearby.
Tirthankar parshwnath's gotra was kashyap so sarak probably belong to same lineage.
Such a great great history and look at the today's situation.
Lets try hard to bring back them to our roots.

#Matang , मातंग
The forgotten caste of jainsim
is a Dalit caste , We can trace the origin of Matangs in Indus valley civilization. Matangs have very rich & ancient history and we can find references in ancient Jain literture.
#jaingem #Jainism #Thread
@truejainology @rajamaka
They are spread across maharashtra , Telangana , karnataka .
In andhra they are also known as madhiga ".
Meaning of word matang is - elephant.
In indian culture word matang is considered as a good ( सुभ ) word.
Even today in remote villages of maharashtra
@JainMaggii
If one sight's a matang , they consider it as a good luck (सुभ शकुन) .
Their basic work is to safeguard the villages(security) , making of ropes and brooms.
Whenever something good or new things marriages etc happens, ppl first invite matang, considering them as a good luck.

🙏🏼 'KSHULLAK' GANESHPRASAD VARNI

Ganesh Prasad ji Varni (1874–1961) was one of the foundational figures of the modern Indian Digambara intellectual tradition during the early 20th century.
Read the thread to know how much he has done for jains.
#jainGem #Jainism #threadstory
He was the founder of several schools and institutions of advanced learning. He was born in Lalitpur (UP), who belonged to the Asati community(mostly Vaishnava), his father had a deep faith in the Namokar Mantra. He used to live in a Jain neighbourhood and visit the Jain temple
near his house in Mandawara. Influenced by lectures there, at the age of ten, he took a vow to take meals before sunset throughout his life. During his yajnopavita ceremony, he had an argument with the priest & his mother, and declared that he will be a Jain henceforth.

A great forgotten Gem of Jainism #sameer_muni
Who successfully inculcate great values of jainsim and it's ahimsa into the live's of khatik samaj (butcher's) of rajasthan.
Who started their day with slaughtering animals and ended their day with alcohol.
Thread cont...
#JainGem
Butcher's who's life was nothing but to slaughter innocent animals and sell them into cities and earn living.
Looking at such violent nature muni thought to teach them lessons of ahimsa so that they can get rid of the killing of innocent animals.
Tirthankar's teaching of hating the paap (sin) and not the paapi (sinner) was the base of this foundation which was started by muni on 1st May 1958 by including the dalits and khatik( butcher) and ignored of the society n named them
" VEERWAL"
A jain community of mewar rajasthan

Jain's pay attention 💥
Ministry of culture has set up an Expert committee for the Holistic study of origin & evolution of Indian culture since 12,000 years. Not a single JAIN representative in the list. Neither Buddhist.
Nor can you see the words Prakrit, Pali, Brahmi anywhere.
What is happening?
Are we heading towards learning FALSE HISTORY again? See all the Name's and judge for yourself the outcome.
Will any scholar from this list present the Jain side of history? That too without any bias?
This is a call out to representatives of all the JAIN ORGANIZATIONS and influential people, activists to write to the Union Minister of State for Culture & Tourism - Shri @prahladspatel and to our PM - Shri @narendramodi questioning them about this major lapse.
